I hope you enjoy yours, as much as I enjoy mine!

Never heard of a 40 day hold. Where ever you live they must be concerned you will get the virus from the gun! :D
I have a no dash 686 and love it. Smooth single action pull out of the box. The DA was good before I stoned and deburred the mechanicals. Now it is great.

In Ca. consignment guns have to go through a 30 day hold. You can start the ten day waiting period afterward. It sucks but you get better deals.

All stores supposed to hold the guns 30 days and are not supposed to advertise till after the hold. But yes I purchased a 586 and a 686 from Turners in the last six months.

Dunno about the official rules but in my experience Turner's is the only outfit that does that. Regardless, you have a great gun and I'll bet you enjoy it!

Got to try out the new S&W, it shot great, only limited by my bad eye sight. Fantastic single action decent double action. My 4 inch 586 is better in both departments. The grips are truly stellar on this gun. Best deal in a long time. First shot at 10 yds was a bullseye.

I had a no dash, 6” and a -1, 4” that I used in PPC competition. Both very accurate and easy to shoot. Even carried the -1 on duty! For a week and then went back to the lighter K frame. When i quit LE work I sold both L frames. If I am going to carry that much, it will be an N frame.

I do hope you enjoy yours, they can be very accurate just heavy.
