in this "stay at home" circumstance- Armslist continues to have listings by private individuals, offering guns for sale (Kansas). I understand that gun shops are open, but are private sales still allowed in light of the non-essential, stay at home orders? Thank You-

Local ks boy here. I dont see why not if you can do safely. Obviously dont travel and stay safe as you can. Be best to call if you need a transfer but face to face private sales should still he good.

Everyone please remember:

  1. Under federal law pretty much every transfer of a firearm from a resident of one State to a resident of another must go trough an FFL and include the usual folderol (e. g. completion of a 4473).

  2. Many States, under state law, require certain formalities in connection with transfers of firearms between state residents.

I dont see why not......far as I know, the stay at home stuff doesnt actually carry the weight of law....

The better question might be: Is it really worth the potential risk??

The OP is from Kansas looking to buy a gun in Kansas. Private sales between individuals is legal. Buying a gun is essential business. Go for it!
