Anyone have the new model subcompact 2.0 in 9mm?

How does it shoot?

Not sure if I want this or the 3.6" barrel on the compact frame.

I have it and it's what I primarily carry. I also have a 40 compact. The only difference between the two is the length of the grip. You can use a 15 round magazine with the subcompact, giving you the same grip length as the compact but obviously can't shorten the grip on the compact, making the subcompact more versatile.

It's accurate and a soft shooter. I'm a fan of the M&P 2.0 line and have a few of them. My 9mm Shield with a 4 inch barrel initially had a feed issue, but S&W polished the feed ramp and it's been perfect since then. My others have never had a malfunction in any way, with thousands of rounds through them collectively. I'd go with the subcompact version, as with the 15 round magazine it can be basically the same gun as the compact and you can have the shorter grip if you want something more easily concealed.

I have a 4" 2.0 Compact and it's awesome. I imagine the Subcompact is a great little pistol too. I probably have average hands to maybe a hair on the larger end, and the 15 round grip is about perfect. But, I imagine a Subcompact with a 15 round mag and sleeves would accomplish largely the same thing while still allowing you to drop down to the shorter grip for carry. Kind of the same way I looked at the Compact versus the Fullsize, and I opted for the smaller of those two pistols.

I too have the subcompact. I like the subcompact’s ability to get smaller for carry and it is a dream to shoot. For me personally, I like the feel of the grip with the 15 round magazine, but I have very large hands. The 12 round mag with the pinky extension is much better than the flush fit mag. I will say that carrying the 2.0 guns irritates me more when carrying concealed than any other gun. I’ve sanded down the grip on the side facing my skin, but it’s still much worse than carrying my other concealed carry guns.

Hey how about a holster that goes all the way up the frame grip, you know what I mean? Just an idea.

That’s not a bad idea. I like the way it shoots, just not the way it caries compared to my other options.
