November 1968. Opening day. We ate a lot of venison. Mine was the single horn spike. He walked under a tree stand I was in with my Dad. Shot was straight down at about 10 feet.

Okay I’m a bit late to the game but here goes.
Top photo would have been about 1985 ish so I’m about 16 or 17. That’s a Persian Ibex taken down in the Floridas Mountains of NM.
the middle is a little desert mule deer buck I killed down in the Crow Flats of Southern, NM I’m guessing from the age of my baby girl that was in about 1998 ish.
And the bottom is one of the better boar hogs I’ve ever killed down on my old place in Northwestern Texas. That’s about the 1999 time frame. I killed that hog with my brand new Cooper edition scout using in .308 using a 180 gr partition.

From what I've read, I'd have to be 17 again to hunt that rugged territory. Belated congrats on a successful hunt.

Yes sir, 17, in shape and motivated! That country is either straight up or straight down. Everything there is sharp, spiny and or bites.
