Has anyone ordered anything from MidwayUSA since the “panic” started? If so how long did it take for them to ship? I placed a small order, three in stock items Monday and they still haven’t shipped. I know they are slammed but five days backed up?

COVID-19 has impacted nearly every person and business around the world. MidwayUSA is no exception. Order volume has increased dramatically and we're doing everything possible to process and ship orders quickly. Unfortunately, our current shipping backlog is 8+ days and increasing. For this, we're truly sorry!

midway has never been fast.
Agree. They talk about fast shipping but it's just words. They might pack your order and get it to shipping deptartment fast but, In reality it can be a few more days before the trailer leaves the loading dock. They wait until the trailer is full before it goes out. I was told this some time ago by a Midway employee when inquiring about an order.

Interesting but in plain English I asked what were people’s experience not what MidwayUSA’s website said.
Midway usually takes 2 days from the time the order is placed until they even let it leave the facility.

MidwayUSA is just down Highway 70 from me in a college town named Columbia, Missouri - nothing in Columbia moves fast - it is the quintessential fly-over country - in simple business terms, Larry and Jeff Bezos have nothing in common.

An order I placed in early March took one week to arrive. An order I placed last Saturday is still “processing” so yeah, things have slowed considerably the past month.

And Steve S is correct, it’s the difference between 20th century thinking and 21st century thinking. Of course, Midway will never be large enough to purchase a fleet of 30,000 delivery trucks either....

Didn't say they did but midway has always been way more expensive and before Amazon had their own fleet I could still get my stuff faster and cheaper. I ordered some stuff from Mid south shooter supply and Brownells and had it in about 7 days from the time I placed the order to the time it got to my house. Again, cheaper than MWUSA. Every midway order I ever placed was about 10-12 days.

I also live fairly close to Midway so I'm fortunate in that I can go pick up an order. The last few weeks they've been advertising for help. You'd think with people out of work the slots would fill quickly.

Okay here is my experience with Midway USA shipping

I live 1 hour east of Midway USA. They seem to always use FEDEX Smartpost to ship. When I order anything for delivery, my package goes from Columbia MO to Kansas City Mo by FEDEX. FEDEX then drops it of at the USPS center, USP in KC then ships t to the USPS center in St. Louis. St Louis USPS then ships it out to me. So if I'm NOT in a hurry, I'll let them ship it to me. If I need something right away, I'll make the 2 hour round trip to go pick it up.

I miss the days when the USPS had a distribution center in Columbia, Mo. Things would go there then straight to my local post office.

I placed an order with RMR on 3/28, a label was created on 4/5; estimated ship date was 4/7; still hasn't shipped. Every outfit is slammed, so patience is a virtue. I am old enough to remember when you mailed in an order with a check and just waited............

I made an order in late March right about peak panic (thankfully no one ever seems to panic buy .257 bullets). Midway gave a longer than usual estimate for shipping but it got here in the usual 7 days. I was actually surprised when it got here a few days earlier than I expected. They’re not the fastest or cheapest usually, but are good for less common items and have decent discounts from time to time.

I've never had an issue with Midway or their shipping. I ordered some magazines and bullet puller from them a couple of weeks ago. It was here in less than a week. Actually faster than I expected under the circumstances.

I always go to a few sites to compare prices. Sometimes, generally when something is on sale, Midway is cheapest or darn close. I usually wait until they have free shipping to order.

Shipping time has never been a problem for me.

I ordered rubber grips for a CZ97b with birthday pricing. They were out of stock and overdue for delivery. After three weeks of waiting for the overdue grips, I cancelled the order. Decided I really did not need the rubber grips and would stay with the walnut grips.

Midway orders have always been slow to arrive to me. Maybe a week? But that is Ok since I always tell them to ship the cheapest way possible and it is not a big deal to me, price always is.

We will not see deals or free shipping for a long time. Why should they offer a deal when new guys are beating down the door for anything at any price?
