well here goes I bought a CZ 75 sp01 a while back and I really like it , I have been fondling the 75B - P01 - and the P07 and P09 and I like the as well , I have come to think the CZ's are a bit under rated and not so popular for some reason ?
I have been a Glock shooter and a sig fan for years but I have been thinking of selling my glocks and replacing them with CZ's
for those of you the have had CZ's for some time any big issues ? do they have good customer service if needed ?
to me they seem like a solid well built gun ?
any CZ input appreciated !
Thanks

I jumped into CZ's about a year ago and now have three (CZ-75BD, CZ-75D Compact PCR, and CZ-75 SP-01 Tactical). All of these are all-metal, SA/DA, with decocker guns -- which is exactly what I wanted. (CZ also makes a number of pretty good striker-fired guns too, and some purpose-built competition guns...).

The quality is excellent. The classic CZ-75 is often praised for its comfortable grip.

I don't want to just assert that "CZ's are the best ever!" -- although I think they are pretty darn good -- but other brands of pistols have their fans, too. But I can comment on two of the enjoyable things about CZ ownership are the friendly availability of two parts and customization companies, Cajun Gun Works and CZ Custom (there may be other, smaller companies, too); and the ability to really customize grips with products from LOK, VZ, Hogue, etc., makes it really easy to get the grip and thickness you want.

i shoot better and more accurately with my 75 B, than i do with my Glock 17.

They are fantastic guns and I have owned the 75b, sp01 phantom and p01. While I liked them a lot I went the other route and now own 6 Glocks. My decision to do this was solely because I wanted my guns to be for defensive purposes and not range fun. The Glock just fits this mold better for me due to it being lighter, better dimensions, better capacity to size weight ratio, more magazine options, more aftermarket, simpler manual of arms, etc. Many years ago I traded my first and only gun, a Glock 17c, in for the 75b. The former Marine behind the counter told me I was making a big tactical mistake. I snickered at him and did the trade in. Now I realize what he meant. The simplicity and more importantly light weight with higher capacity options matters. Plus the mag prices matter. I can have a whole bunch more Glock or aftermarket mags than I can CZ mags even if buy mecgar. I’m not knocking the cz at all. It’s fantastic. I probably prefer shooting it more at the range than a Glock. A 1911 or anything single action too for that matter. However for a defensive pistol, which I want all mine to be, I changed to Glock and am very happy. Even have an AR9 that takes Glock mags on order which is another plus. Same mags for a bug out carbine and pistol.

Without a picture its hard to determine if you really have a CZ (well not really, just like to see them). I love anything CZ. Have three rifles and all are made with excellent quality. The pistol is on my list of things to get. I had one about 18 years ago when I lived out of state. I was sold first shot. Enjoy your purchase.

I dont see folks under rating them. if anything they tend to get a bit over rated, if anything. I like my cz75 stainless, cz85, cz75 kadet, cz po7, cz sp01, I may have another one..have to go and look. great guns. slide is hard to grab a bit on 75 and 85 due to its setup. trigger a bit of a reach for smaller hands, but not much else to not like.

I shoot my 1911s and glocks better though.

I love CZs. The first I got was a classic 75B. My CZickness has gotten worse since.
As well as being very comfortable in the hand and very pointable, I find they are very good value. Like a Sig or HK for several hundred less.
Some not so good things, in DA the reach for the trigger can be quite far. I prefer the DA/SA mechanism and I find I almost always shoot SA. On some models there is a pin that controls the range of movement of the firing pin. On these models it is strongly recommended that you not dry-fire without a snap cap or On ring under the hammer.
As was also mentioned, Cajun Gun Works and CZ Custom Shop are excellent places for custom work or parts.
Photo just for fun.

I have the 75 compact PCR, SP01, SP01 Phantom, P10 and 75 Stainless. They're so accurate I think they're self aiming. I've shot thousands of rounds through them and the only issue I had was with my first SP01. It wouldn't reliably feed hollow points. After the second time I sent it in CZ replaced it, and the new one has been perfect. I didn't ask for a replacement. When I called their rep saw it had been in twice for the same problem, apologized repeatedly and told me they're replacing it. I think he felt worse about it than I did.

I install the Ultra-Lite kit from CGW in all my hammer fired ones. It makes for a fantastic trigger pull. It's easy to install and well worth $49. The link is below.

My brother had one of the early Cold War CZ-75s and I was hooked on their Hi-Power-like grip design that made for a very comfortable fit for someone like me with small hands. I also liked having the option of carrying it in Condition One with the hammer cocked and the thumb safety on.

Many years later I finally found a gun shop that carried CZs and had a chance to check out a P01. Definitely love at first touch as the grip configuration was perfect and the gun pointed on target naturally in my hand! The compact size was just right and the trigger was really nice in both DA and SA mode.

About a year and a half ago I was checking out the various new handguns at a fairly well stocked gun store. Was looking through the display cases when I came across a new P07. The polymer frame felt much more substantial now and many of the sharp edges and aggressive checkering on the previous model were gone. The gun felt great when I picked it for the first time with the sights being quick to acquire, and the trigger was even nicer than that on my P01! Once I did that I knew I had to get it and was quite surprised (and pleased), when I discovered you could change out the decocker for a thumb safety and carry it in Condition One! All in all a very well designed and built compact 9mm.

Well let me be the first to warn you, they multiply. If you aren't careful you are going to end up with more than one and if you aren't vigilant you will end up with something like a Shadow 2 or a TSO. You may tell yourself.....no, I won't spend that much on one but next thing you know you get to hold one or shoot one and immediately regret it as you hear your wallet start crying. You may be able to resist the temptation for a while but then BAM! you find a smoking deal and end up with one in your collection and all your friends are jealous.

I'm fighting the urge to spend a hunk of my stimulus check on a SP-01 or a P-01. I have a lot of all steel C clones, but my only real CZ is a P-07, and to be honest, I like it, but don't love it like I do a couple of the clones.

When I looked at the P07 I also had checked out the new SIG P365. Liked the sub-compact design with the large magazine capacity but felt it was a little too small for me (that's a rare occasion), and the trigger was scary light and without a safety! Then I handled the P07 and it felt really good in my hand. Not the same grip contours as the CZ-75 or P01 but felt more like what a polymer 1911 frame would feel like. The gun pointed on target easily and the sights were spot on. The trigger was decent in DA and nice and clean with a short reset in SA mode. Overall it had great ergonomics and build quality and I just liked the feel of the gun.

I at one time had 6 CZ's but I'm down to just the P-07 now. Nothing wrong with them but I just found that I much preferred H&K's and Sigs, especially H&K's, they are now my primary carries, all hammer fired, cocked and locked

I am not trying to talk you into a P365. But there is a version of the P365 that has a frame mounted safety. So it’s really the buyer’s choice as to what to get.

I had that problem on my PCR. It is the firing pin travel pin and Cajun makes a rolled replacement for the solid pin that works just fine. It's super easy fix. My Glock 19 is a safe queen now.

It's some of the best tasting kool aid!
Cz 75 trans all tricked out from CGW.
P09
2 Pcr one is mine with the pro package it's my carry piece, the other my GF bought after getting a P365 and hating it.
CZ 97 with the E mod conversion. Id put it up against most 1911s
