Your most versatile powder(s) is....

Most versatile - trailboss. Any cartridge can use it if you follow the manufacturers charge instructions. But it isn't for high velocity.

For pistol, Hodgdon Universal works for everything I reload.

Unique. Hence the name.

BlueDot. Use from the .32 H&R to the .338 Magnum.

A bit more difficult for rifle, but H4895 or IMR4895 would have broad uses for me.

You and me both....but I've never tried the H just the IMR version of 4895. I like Unique for .45 ACP, .40s&w, and it works for 12g as well.

For pistol I like W231. I use it for 9mm, .40, .45, .44 and .38. For rifle Varget has worked for .223, .257, .308 and 30-30.

Loads handgun, rifle , and shotgun. Cast or jacketed. Cat sneeze up to intermediate range hunting rounds.

I have yet to find anything it won't shoot.

Bullseye for pistol.

H4895 for me...primarily load for 22-250, .243, .308 .30-06, and .30-30. Accurate loads are usually obtainable, and it meters well. I can typically find it on store shelves (probably just cursed myself,), and it works well for making reduced loads for the boys.

I would say trailboss and blue dot are my most versatile powders with more of a big toward blue dot. Not a pistol cartridge I load for that I don't have a decent blue dot load for.

W231 and H4895

I'm finding that I use Red Dot & Unique quit a bit they may not be the best but they do make a lot of things go bang

I’m currently loading over 40 cartridges, and although I have tended to diversify several of them, they could all be satisfied - with minimal performance concession - the following list:

I have many more powders on my shelves, but if I only had these 6, I’d be well served.

W231 and CFE223

Only shootin pistols so in order; AA#2, Silhouette, HP-38. That's covering 380, 9, 38Spl and 45acp.
