Re: Doing everything they can, while being overwhelmed by "wait till the last minute panic buyers" and then on top of it, having to deal with the phones ringing off the wall, by folks that don't have a clue.

What is this 'phone' thing you speak of?? I was under the impression E-Commerce was E-Commerce,,, no phone required!

The first time I ordered from them I had many questions and spent quite a while talking with a very knowledgeable lady who helped me pick out several "sample packs". I was able to experiment and see which ones my guns and I liked best. A great experience. Sadly though, I haven't had cause to every use the phone again with them.

I follow Missouri Bullets on Facebook. This is what they posted today. I'm thinking they're hoping some folks can take a subtle hint, eh?:rofl::rofl:

Brad should be making bullets not doing public relations on FaceBook:) Leave that to Joanne.
Been ordering from them since they opened. What is the extra time they are talking about?. When we are used to 2 or 3 days?:)

I am lucky....if I need something I will just drive the 10 minutes and say Hi....you guys got any.....

Edit to add....If you are ever over in the area stop by.....it is very interesting in seeing how they work.

I am lucky I live so close, they are neighbors and it is good to see them so busy.

I was impressed by RMR. Ordered 3/22 recieved delivered 3/27. Midway took about 3 weeks. Lee shipped the next day. Precision delta in early March took 3 days to ship. Everything seems to be getting worse now though.

I also ordered from RMR, probably at the worst time in years, and got the order very timely, especially considering what is going on. No fuss no fury just a good product shipped timely.

My compliments to them.

I think the world of MBC, Brad, and Joanne.

Since I am not a snowflake, I am mature enough to realize how the real world operates.

My hats off to their continued efforts in these trying times!

I just placed a order yesterday even though I know delivery will be a little longer. Keep making the bullets and don’t worry about the phone. Just leave a message on the machine stating longer shipping times.

So much for Brad's relaxed retirement business. We as shooters should appreciate the suppliers that will do a stand up job even when faced with an unreasonable occurance they have no control over. Kudos to both MBC and RMR for their good service in this unprecedented crazy time. As for me, I was well stocked going into this thank goodness. Also I can wait until this present run is over to reorder and hopefully that move will be beneficial to everyone involved.

I ordered some 124 and 147 gr 9mm coated from Brazo's on 4/15 and they were at my door this morning. I didn't really expect them for a few weeks but 3 day's was awesome! I know they have been swamped with orders the past few weeks like everyone else. They must be working some serious overtime.

I ordered some CCI Mini-Mags from BassPro about 10 days ago. Thought it was odd they had it in stock, since they were the only vendor where I could find any, but that's what they claimed. Five days later I get an email that shipping is delayed, and to 'see new delivery date below': the note contains no new delivery date. I can easily accept shipping delays given these times, I'm in no hurry. What I'm not willing to do is wait indefinitely on product they didn't have when they took the order, and aren't going to have any time in the predictable future. The email goes on to say 'the order will be cancelled if it cannot be filled within 60 days'. I'd be more understanding if this were earlier in this ammo crush, but if an outfit as large a BP doesn't know where they stand in the chain at this point - and hence cannot provide an idea when they might deliver...then please don't take my order at all.

Since I really don't need anything or want anything really does not apply to me. What I do question people who know exactly what is going on and can't understand back orders. How can anyone not know this? Really are people getting that stupid? I want it now simply is not going to work and just about when I thought I could not find stupider people, there they are.

In response; Bernie Sanders was the #2 choice for Democratic Presidential candidate and Joe "AR14" Biden is their #1 choice...yes, people are getting that...uh, oh, that's not politically correct...uh, "different" these days. :what:

I bought my bullets early and I always buy them often. Never have fewer than 1,000 rounds in each caliber I load just so I can weather any minor backlogs. This is just a slightly bigger backlog problem than normal. I'd give em' a break. They're still working and still producing. God bless them!

The phone thing is all of the young impatient folks who expect everything immediately, and when it doesn't happen they call demanding to know why.....:D:thumbup:

That's it. Little by little accumulate a good stock. Got a few extra dollars and see a good sale price? Buy it and set it aside. Nice thing about reloading components and loaded ammunition is a long shelf life. :)

For the savvy when teaching new shooters about shooting and reloading remember to tell them about shortages so while the haven't experienced one they will never be caught short.

As a business you treat the customers with respect and you just lay out the facts as they are. Your order is xx in line and we can fill it in or on xx. Would you still like to place the order. Business is not emotional and always handled professionally.

Maybe they should find a way of handling the phones other than not handling the phones. How difficult can that be to accomplish? People can do that from home.

A snarly "do you want us to answer phones or make bullets" is pretty short sighted, IMO. Their business must be pretty good right now. Very good. Higher somebody for the damn phones already.

Kinda a no-brainer to me.

I think we can only do one or the other. What are your thoughts?

One can do more than one or the other. They can keep the same production and trickle it out to everyone, as equals.

Obtain new equipment at considerable cost that will be all but useless once the panic buyers have their full of what they won’t be using. As well as acquire new employees they will have to train and subsequently layoff.

Or, satisfy loyal customers by sending them the same stuff they ordered for years at the same rate of consumption, the potential new consumers that order usable quantities, that can’t find anything elsewhere, then fill the orders of new customers that seek an opportunity (the very large quantities, that will obviously be for resale).

Some might say “first come first serve”, others “money talks”, some “the guy has been buying our stuff before anyone else would.” No fault in any response, just a decision to be made.

The pleads of “I used to buy from you but then...” should be kept you yourself. Should be an instant back of the line.

I ordered some 45ACP from them a week or so ago and saw the message on their website that it'll be 3 to 4 weeks for them to ship. I'm not sure where the misunderstanding is. That tells me that it'll take them 3 to 4 weeks to ship my order.

I ordered 3K 200 grain LSWC from them not too long ago. Took about 2 weeks from placing the order to receiving the LSWC.

I received an e-mail from them yesterday that my order shipped already, so they're well ahead of the quoted timeframe.

Edit to add: Order placed on July 22 and received today. I'm more than happy with a 9 day turnaround.

Coolness =D

I will say, though, that it was close to 4 weeks before I received the 3K 125 grain 9mm RN bullets I'd ordered. I think that delivery times are highly dependent upon the specific product. Supply and demand, etc. I guess the 125 grain round nose is just more popular. It's all good, though.

Wow just looked at their site, saying up to 4-6 weeks now. I ordered end of June. Still havent been shipped. Figure I can resist the temptation to call and bug em a couple more weeks lol. Anxious to try these things out tho.
