Win 53 vs '92

I’m definently no expert, hopefully 1 will come by soon. But I do have a 53 in .25-20 and several 92s in .44WCF and .32WCF. I know the 53 is a much newer model. There very well could be some improvements in there. I don’t know what they would be, it doesn’t get much better than a 92 SRC for shooting enjoyment.

I wish I could ask my dad (along with many other things), I’m sure he would’ve known the difference.

I’ll be interested in seeing the reply’s from the experts.

I'm with you. I could really use some of my father's knowledge now. He forgot more about guns than I could ever hope to know.
 
Isn't the 53 a pistol grip and the 92 a straight grip? I think you could get the 53 with checkering. Longer barrel and half magazine was common on them also. Kind of like a nicer version in the same calibers.
