Is there any real difference between a Win model 53 and a 1892?

I’m definently no expert, hopefully 1 will come by soon. But I do have a 53 in .25-20 and several 92s in .44WCF and .32WCF. I know the 53 is a much newer model. There very well could be some improvements in there. I don’t know what they would be, it doesn’t get much better than a 92 SRC for shooting enjoyment.
I wish I could ask my dad (along with many other things), I’m sure he would’ve known the difference.
I’ll be interested in seeing the reply’s from the experts.

My understanding is that the Model 53 (1924-32, 25,000 made) used 1892 mechanicals and only differed in configuration and cosmetics.

Isn't the 53 a pistol grip and the 92 a straight grip? I think you could get the 53 with checkering. Longer barrel and half magazine was common on them also. Kind of like a nicer version in the same calibers.

Not unlike the model 94 vs 64 or 1886 vs 71. One is just a different configuration than the other but they're the same basic rifle.
