Run the numbers yourself, taking into account that EVERY death even remotely touching COVID is being classified as COVID death...which we don't do for the flu or for any other disease....Yes, the same flu that reportedly killed 57,000 Americans last year and 79,000 the year before that. The same flu for we have had tests and vaccines for many decades, which clearly isn't the answer. LA County is reporting 89%+ of deaths associated with COVID are people with compromised systems due to advanced age or chronic illness. These are the same ones that every communicable disease or illness attacks first and hits the hardest..always has, always will.
I have been doing this for weeks, and I think I have a better chance of being hit by lightning while holding a winning lottery ticket than dying, or even being hospitalized, by COVID-19. So do 99.99980% of all Americans....(Estimated to date by CDC as 60,000 out of 300,000,000) and 99.9999984% of Americans who aren't in the highest risk brackets or in a nursing home (6,200 out of the same 300,000,000).
Now our imperial governor is throwing a tantrum because people went to the beach when it was 98 degrees outside last weekend... and today it's reported he wants to force a state closure of city owned beaches. I can't wait to watch the CHP being forced to trundle around the sand chasing off people when the locals tell their police force to leave people alone.
My two most recent gun purchases are now 1 day delayed by the DOJ, it's been 11 days since I filled out and my FFL sent in my paperwork to start my 10-day waiting period. The DOJ claims they have 30 days in which to perform the background check, which isn't true. The statute says if that can't do their job in 30 days then the gun is transferred to the buyer, whether it's completed or not. That's a big difference.. but hey, it's a pandemic.
Man, I can't wait for the range to open again.
Stay safe.
