All those revolvers and you favor an lcr, i'm going to have another look at one.
That little LCR has the best out-of-the-box trigger I’ve found on a short barreled revolver making for accurate first shots and the relatively mild recoil makes for better follow-ups. The 327 mag is a fine round but out of this little lightweight frame it really spanks your hand not to it mention may make your ears bleed without ear protection. LOUD! I also live in a very low crime area and carry it only as a get-off-me gun. Folks around here are very polite and respectful ’cause it’s well known that everybody owns a gun and knows how to use it. The only state that has a higher gun to population ratio than Arkansas is Alaska.
For SD I carry Hornady's Critical Defense and also reload so ammo's not a problem.

Beats a neighborhood watch. Up my way people leave me and some of my friends alone for similar reasons.
Of course, having the local sheriff as an friend of the family helps too!

When I moved to town from the ranch, I parked the 10mms and went to an old timer.. With all the big holes in it, it surprising how light it is.

This is a 1916 Vintage MK II .455 HE with a new post war .452 cal. barrel and cylinder.
It is capable of firing 45 ACP in moon clips, 45 Auto Rim, 45 Colt, and 45 Win Mag brass in moon clips loaded to old 45 Colt pressures..
As I have gotten older and the world has changed around me, I have gone to a Sig P365 for more capacity and easier carry, but I still like that old war horse.

Just about perfect!

I have images in this iPad, in laptops, and in external drives. I have no images with these URL things. I do love OEM, non-Hogue grips on my SP101 and GP100 revolvers, so, just visualize those. ;)

No sir. No markings on it to indicate it's a contract firearm. Had never previously seen a stainless 3 inch Service Six so it was an easy sell for my LGS. Came with original box and paperwork.
It's the heavy barrel version for sure with the lug tapering more toward the end of the barrel than the standard which makes it hard to determine without measuring. All 3" six series Rugers were special contract. If yours is actually 3" vs 2.75" I'd get it lettered from Ruger for $10 to get more info on it. Your looks a lot like my NYCPD Speed Six 3" barrel which were only made in 38 spl. There were a number of government agencies which carried 3" Speed Sixes. I'm not sure about Police Service Sixes. Either way yours is a very nice example!

My SP 101 DAO 2.25" has been my carry revolver for summer because it conceals so well under a T shirt AIWB. I've been experimenting with a new to me Speed Six 2.75" recently. Unable to find a DAO hammer due to the Corona closures, I found a hammer to bob on ebay and kept the original hammer intact. IMG_0937 (1).JPG
