How much is too much?

She only knows because you told/showed her:eek:
Two rules to live by:
1.- Only take one gun out of the safe at a time.
If you need to take out more than one have your range bag close by for multiple hand guns.
2.- Keep the loading room locked or put doors on all storage shelving if the loading area is not a room.
If doors are not practical, hang tarps or sheets on the shelving under the guise of keeping the dust off.
Note: Both rules can and should be applied to any/all hobby stuff.
And equating your stuff to her stuff never worked for me, save your breath.
:D

I have learned that keeping the wife happy, and distracted, I get away with my "excessive" hobby. I too have many pounds of powder, 10 or 12, 50 cal ammo cans of handloads, several hundred cast bullets, a few hundred jacketed bullets, and a few thousand empty cartridges, not to mention the shed/shop full of assorted reloading equipment (I have waaaay more time for reloading than shooting). I buy her flowers for no reason. Even when she says she doesn't want any chocolate, I "surprise" her with a box of See's, for Christmas she often gets diamonds (don't have to be big ones, just getting "diamonds" is sufficient). I would prolly do these thing for her anyway but I can come home with a new gun and she'll often say something like "Oh, new gun? You deserve it..."

Is any one corner of the house foundation sinking?
Are you swimming?
Are you currently on fire?

No? I see no problems.

I also suggest diamonds, yet I am divorced, so, that might be a crazy idea. No definite answer there. Dinner is always nice, I suppose. Maybe just listen? No. That’s lame. Ha. Dumb. Okay, hmmm.

Aha! A shed! A She-shed! Then when she’s angry at all the ammunition and accoutrement laying about the home, She can go out to the shed and scream at the top of her lungs about it and find peace.

:D

(No, don’t really do that.;))

If I can't rotate it all out (in turn) within 2-3 years, it's not wanted.

Fresh ammo that's stored in dry, 73 degree temps. is my way. Do I want it sitting around 5+ years? Nope!

So I kinda got yelled at by the wife the other day- she said I had way too much ammo and reloading stuff
I tell you, those who are single, choose your girlfriends/wives carefully so you don't get yelled at for having "too much" ammo and reloading stuff. ;)

And to those who are already married to wives not happy about your gun/reloading stuff, consider this. My wife and I made an agreement that she gets to spend double on her hobbies whatever I spend on my gun/reloading related hobby, no questions asked.

Now whenever I order guns/reloading stuff, it's happy day for wive to go shopping for her hobbies. :D

Happy wife, happy life. :p

For handloads that I no longer want I disassemble them one by one. Many times it's a job but more often it's kinda fun. I use a special tool; called a gun...
