A high number 1903 Mk.1 Springfield with a .22 Numrich conversion.
Here ya go. A run of the mill m2 Springfield m1922 bolt, modified 1903a3 trigger guard with H&R Reising 65 mag, and a sleeve that slides into receiver/bbl and locks in place with a lug like an original ‘03 bolt. It should fit any ‘03. I haven’t shot it yet. I need to make a replacement .22 liner installation tool.Oh that is a beauty, I would love to see more photos of the 22 conversion..

Well, the upper was forged by Brass Aluminum Forging- thats what the little square marking means- no telling who machined it. Looks good, though! The last one was this Wilson Combat “matched” lower/upper combo. Slowly getting the parts to make it function. I’m sure it was manufactured by someone else but it fits together great. View attachment 916979

The Taurus 24/7 is one of those hit or miss guns. You never know which one you have until you shoot it.Taurus PT 24/7 Pro .45 C DS . I bought a new one years ago and it was out of the box perfect. It had zero glitches in the time I owned it. I sold it on a down sizing agenda I had a few years ago. Among the issues that impressed me is that it fed my brothers semi wad cutter reloads without a hitch. Well he passed away and I ended up with 1,500 rounds of his reloads. I bought a used gun identical to the new one I had. Except that this one is a POS in comparison. I fixed two significant issues with it : Slide release and Magazine release which were nothing short of terrible. Now I have more to do because it will not function well with the reloads I bought it for. ( I think it is the magazine) Save the Taurus bashing. I have had good luck with their product up to this gun.
Thanks Gunny, I would be interested in 1 or perhaps 2 magazines either 12 (prefer) or 10 round. I have one coming but wouldn't mind a couple good spares. I don't disagree with you at all regarding the ammo, but in this case 1,500 rounds of ammo seems a lot to waste. Particularly since my other 24/7 handled them so well. Feed ramp looks good and I will not be messing with it. If not the magazine, I may try a different slide return spring. For now I am crossing my fingers on getting help with a different magazine. The Taurus 24/7 is one of those hit or miss guns. You never know which one you have until you shoot it.
It’s also wise to buy ammo to fit the gun, not the gun to fit the ammo.
You are correct that most of your problems are from the magazine. I may have a mags in my stash. I can also check at my local pawn shop to see if they have some that I can pick up at a good price, if you’re interested.
I’ll check on my way home. Thanks Gunny, I would be interested in 1 or perhaps 2 magazines either 12 (prefer) or 10 round. I have one coming but wouldn't mind a couple good spares.
