What is the most recent knife you bought?

Cheap Pakistani switchblade. Strong kick spring. With a little stoning it will be nicer, but for $55 I'm not complaining.

Looks just like an old Blackie Collins/Bob Terzuola design in different materials. Blackie has been gone for years now. Did they work with Bob on it?

The MKM collaboration has a couple licensed Terzuola designs, I think this one is a production Battle Guard.

I just bought a Les George V-14 Dagger, made by Spartan Blades. It is not my first one; trying to build the pair-and-a-spare, as I will do with something I plan to regularly carry. Texas relaxed its knife laws, a couple of legislative sessions ago; daggers are no longer prohibited, and blades over 5.5” in length are no longer prohibited, though are “location-restricted.”

I have larger knives, including some very nice Bowies, but a 6” to 6.5” dagger is suited for the limited number of point-driven techniques I have acquired, and is short enough for reverse-grip work. (I am certainly not anything close to being any kind of expert.)

A7B64C46-81A0-46D1-9EC6-86E8336A6ACF.jpeg My wife mentioned that she’d like a little knife for the glove box in her car. It’ll cut packaging and an occasional piece of fruit. This mini-peasant svord will be easy to see in the back of the glove compartment. And it’s cheap enough to not worry about.

Bought a pound of SAKs to see if there is any potential in them.

hso, I’ve got to know. Was there any potential? I’ve been tempted to buy a pound of SAK’s myself just to have giveaways/throwaways.

I won’t mind having it confiscated at a concert or venue gate if I have 5 more in the car and another 30 at home.

As John explained, and as we've pointed out before, those are just marked USMC. They have zero relationship with the United States Marine Corp. It is just marketing.

Not to be pedantic, but as one who claims the title, its Corps.

Yes, it is just marketing. Like the hats, T-shirts, sweatshirts and so on. It only bothers me when poseurs are involved.

Picked up a Gerber Principle a couple weeks ago---slick little Scandi grind fixed blade that I can see myself using a lot this summer-----mainly wanted something new to play with and it was relatively cheap.

My latest acquisitions...

First up, two Carothers Performance Knives Utility Fighters. These are CPM3V with Nathan Carothers' Delta protocol heat treat on the CPM3V. Blades are 6", overall 10.8%. The bottom one has tri-color rag micarta handle scales, and the top one is antique edge-cut micarta over black micarta.

Second is this dealer-exclusive Paramilitary 2 with an Emerson wave in S30V with black G10 handle scales.

And third is this Alan Folts custom harpoon Minimalist in black G10 and black Gunkoted CPM154.
