Would any of you know whether the ejector rod on a Model 15 also fit my Model 15-2? The threads are stripped on my 15-2 and so far have not come across a 15-2 ejector rod - whole cylinder, but not the rod. I did find an ejector rod for a model 15 at Numrich gun parts. None at EWK.
While shooting the 15-2 this weekend, the ejector plate missed pulling two rounds from the chamber and I could not gracefully resolve the issue at the range, so I put the revolver aside and continued enjoying a CZ/Sig. Even my Interarms PPK/S .32 gave me fits.
once home, I removed the ejector plate and removed the rounds. While checking part fit, I noticed that my ejector rod would not really tighten down all the way. The threads were in pretty bad shape when I acquired the revolver a few months ago.

Key parts like the ejector rod never changed between versions and even between model, because there was no need to make any changes when the same part was entirely satisfactory for all models and versions.
The .22 and .357 used the same rods, only the .44 being different.

The Gun Parts Corp rod should fit with no issues.

Wow, thanks for the responses. Don't know how the ebay one got past me. Also, will at least reach out to cz and give that approach a shot.

From dan Wesson...

We are currently closed due to the Covid 19 pandemic, for an undetermined amout of time. All of our customers firearms have been safely secured until we can resume business again. We hope that this does not go on for too long and can resume duties in short order but the safety of our employee’s must come first.

We thank you for your co-operation and understanding in these trying times.

That may be too much of a stretch, the cylinders of the .357 Super Mags and the standard .357 Mag may not be the same diameter.

CZ does support the model 15-2, they can most likely help. If not, I'll suggest you stick with the 15-2 parts and you won't go wrong.

(S&W is also closed until mid-June for all older gun or non-warranty issues. I have a M-48-4 that needs to go back :(.)

Good luck, and stay safe.

ordered the more expensive ejector rod from ebay as Numrich site says they are not able to ship or fill orders at the time being because of Covid restrictions. At least ebay had a $5 coupon. Still at $48, pricey little bolt. Have yet to find an ejector plate in stock, unless I purchase a cylinder and crane from Ebay at $199-250.

I can say I never heard of a super mag before. Had to go out and read a little about them. Interesting idea.

Well the Ebay option is a no go. Too long.

Very strange. A longer rod would require a longer slot in the barrel shroud and, as far as I know, all DW small frame shrouds have the same length of slot in the shroud.

Ebay vendor is sending me a shorter rod. Hopefully this one works. Think I will start looking around for a two-inch barrel for the DW as well.

Be aware that revolver ejectors are not drop in parts.

During manufacture the rear face of the ejector is precision machined to set the head space. Everything else keys off that.
When installing a new ejector the following has to be adjusted/fitted.....
Head space.
Cylinder end shake.
Barrel-cylinder gap.
Timing on all 6 chambers.
Barrel-chamber alignment on all 6 chambers.

Used ejectors will usually not fit a different frame since it was already altered to fit another frame.
Just because a cylinder with a used ejector will snap into the frame is no sign it actually fits or is even safe to fire.
Installing a new ejector is a major pistolsmithing job, and again, a used ejector may not be usable at all.

Those are items I was unaware of in my efforts to correct a previous owner's mods or repairs.

Did receive the ejector rod. Shows to be exactly the same length and design. However, it won't thread into the extractor plate as the threads in it are bummed up. Wonder what the odds are of finding a tap the right size. Found an extractor on ebay at the same place I purchased the rod. It is described as Dan Wesson Model 14/15 357 mag cylinder ejector.
