Howdy Again

Time for the 32s

No blued 22 caliber Tip Ups, but a few blued 32 caliber Tip Ups.

A couple of #2 Old Army 32 Rimfire Tip Ups. One shipped in 1863, the other in 1870. Sorry, but I would have to pull them out of the safe to figure out which one is which.

On to the blued 32 caliber Top Breaks

32 Double Action fourth model. Have not dated this one yet, but this model was produced from 1883 until 1909. Serial number places it probably somewhere in the 1890s. 32 S&W.

pn2rxaJyj.jpg

32 Safety Hammerless Bicycle Revolver, shipped 1909. 32 S&W. Interesting to note that during this time period S&W was shipping more nickel plated pocket revolvers than blued, bu we are only talking about blued Smiths in this thread.

On to the I frame Hand Ejector 32s.

A finish challenged 32 Hand Ejector 1st Model (Model of 1896) that left the factory in 1898. 32 S&W Long.

A pair of 32 Regulation Police that shipped in 1924 and 1925. 32 S&W Long.

“ where does he get all those wonderful toys??” (Joker/Batman movie?)

On to the 38s.

38 Double Action, 4th Model. It shipped in 1898, 38 S&W.

pnRcktxnj.jpg

On to the Hand Ejectors.

38 Regulation Police. The only 38 I have built on the I frame. Identical to the 32 Regulation Police except the 32 is a six shooter. Only five 38s will fit into an I frame cylinder. Notice the 'middle flute' is not centered in the frame, a dead giveaway that it is a 38. This one shipped in 1924, 38 S&W as it says on the barrel.

On to the K frames.

The 38 that started it all. 38 Military and Police 1st Model (Model of 1899 Army-Navy Revolver). Spotting feature is the lack of an underbarrel locking lug for the front of the ejector rod. Also, as stated in SCSW this can be called a "pre-five screw four screw model" because of the lack of a screw in front of the trigger guard. That came with the 38 M&P Model of 1905 because of a major change in the lockwork inside. This one shipped in 1899, chambered for the then brand new 38 S&W Special Cartridge. Also known simply as 38 Special.

pnYHsX8Aj.jpg

38 M&P Model of 1905, 1st Change. 38 Special, it shipped in 1908. This one is a five screw.

pnkAwkqsj.jpg

38 M&P Target Model. The precursor to the K-38 and the Model 14. Notice the tiny windage adjustement screws on the rear sight. Shipped in 1917. 38 Special.

pmZwj8Rgj.jpg

38 M&P Round Butt, Hard Rubber Grips. 38 Special, shipped 1939.

pmWxE4IAj.jpg

A pair of K-38s. The one with the fake stag grips shipped in 1957. Somebody reshaped the Patridge front sight.

The one with the Magna grips shipped in 1950. Both are chambered for 38 Special.

pmpEhf0yj.jpg

K-38 Combat Masterpiece. Precursor to the Model 15. Shipped 1953, 38 Special

I'm gonna take a break for some lunch now. I'll come back later with the post 1957 blued 38s.

OP here.
You must have a pretty sizeable collection. I'm willing to bet at least 150 guns of both single and double action.
