Hello all,

I sent my model 29-10 in for some warranty work first of May. It went in for a sear spring and I asked them to look at the quality of the bluing. In my opinion it is not quite up to snuff. Let me say that in hind-sight I wish I would have found an older model in great condition but..... Last week I received an email saying the sear spring had been repaired and it had gone to the performance center and they will contact me in the weeks to come. Has anyone had any similar work done lately and if so, how long to completion?

Thanks all.

Did you request it go to the performance center or is that just where they do all their bluing work?

I sent a gun in for warranty work in February. I asked that while it was there if they could remove the fiber optic front sight and install a ramp with an orange or red insert and replace the rear with a white outline blade. They told me that the warranty work would take 1-2 weeks but any gunsmithing would take several months due to backlog. I asked what “several “ meant and the gent said 3 to 6 months. I rescinded that request.

Probably not what you want to hear but then again, your request is for bluing. Mine was for sight change. I have no idea what department performs the various jobs there and where they have backlogs.
