How many states can you conceal carry in?

I was just wondering how many states people can conceal carry a pistol in. I currently have two permits, and just applied to my states "Enhanced Permit" program. Once that one shows up, after my FBI check I will be able to legally conceal carry in 40 states.

With a few exceptions, the other ten states aren't really ones I care much about anyway.

According to Handgunlaw.us the Virginia permit I have is good in 32 states.

Like you I wouldnt be caught dead in the 18 others anyway.

Come to think of it, I couldn't tell you the last time I left the state.

I get 38 with my 2 permits. I would like New Mexico as well though, in case we ever travel to Arizona. The rest? Meh...

I usually leave my state and road trip across several two or three times a year. Hence my interest in a higher level permit with more coverage. The enhanced permit is about a $325 investment for me. Worth it...……..

37 recognize my permit. Can also carry in VT and ME under “permitless carry,” so 39 total.

All of them as well as DC, legally. I can't fly with it on me unless I'm on official duty, but I can carry in every state.

All 50 and DC, plus US protectorates, i.e., Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and Northern Mariana Islands.

Retired LE with up to date annual qualification.

Last I checked, my SC permit was good for 36 states, which covers almost all my conceivable needs.

32 at last count. Unfortunately my “home” state, a will issue state, doesn’t recognize my resident state CWC. I’m ok with that as I carry for travel safety between Florida and Rhode Island. It’s the northeast Washington thru New York Interstate corridor that vexes me. No over nights after Virginia going north , before Delaware going South.

I would like to visit the Statue of Liberty. Not as long as it is controlled by N'Yawk.

34. And none of the states where I'm not legal are states I'm in often. I occasionally pass through Illinois and New Mexico. Drove across Nebraska once but have no reason to spend any time in any of the others.

Legally, its likely zero, unless you pick and choose certain areas. I can legally carry concealed in every state if the conditions are right. On the flip side, I can't carry in any state if i am in certain areas.

Statue of Liberty is controlled by the US National Park Service, not NYC.
