Barrel twist savage axis 6.5 creedmoor

The twist rate is 1:8 which can usually accommodate heavier bullets in the 90gr + or - 10gr range.

I've been shooting 140 grain A-Max and hollow points with very good results.

My creedmoors (including a savage) have all prefered 140-147gr bullets.
The 120s class shot well also, but were were usually nudged out by the heavier offerings

Must be thinking about 243.

The 6.5 CM was designed around 140 gr+ bullets. I've never tried anything lighter than 139 gr in mine and have gone as heavy as 147. All with excellent accuracy. I have no need to shoot anything lighter, but have read reports of guys shooting 130's very well.
