Does anyone know of a pouch/carrier designed for a speedloader to keep it properly oriented in a pocket, similar to pocket pouches for mags?

There’s a guy on YouTube with a kydex company. I can’t remember the name but it’s a pocket holster for speedloaders. Pretty cool piece. Keeps them standing upright

If you recall please let me know. I’d like to have something of that nature as an additional option for carry.

My tangential answer is:

Speed strip.

I have carried them loose for long periods, with no issue. If you want to assure they stay there, do not wear holes, etc. then there are several who make pouches for them

I know people have different body shapes, clothing fit, but I can't dump a speedloader in a pants pocket to run one stage of a match without excessive discomfort.

I’ve got speed strip pouches a plenty, but thanks anyway. I’m really hunting for speed loader carriers. I’ve picked up several for on the belt that work fairly well but am looking for good pocket options.

They’re slower than loaders are for sure, but with practice they’re speedier than fishing out cartridges a couple at a time to feed your revolver.

The only issue I see with the Kydex two-loader set up is having it dig into your thigh when you sit a t table or in the car for a while. Since kydex has zero give compared to leather the only place for the edge to go is into your leg :(. A single may be a bit easier to live with.

In a jacket pocket they’ll be golden!

Stay safe.

I have fought this battle and given-up. I use speed loaders only in actual belt pouches matched with OWB open carry. I typically carry my concealed reload in the weakside back pocket in a velcro closure knife or small utility pouch- works equally well for speed strips or single stack mags (like TPH, PPK, P290, 3914, P239, etc). I view high-speed tactical reloads as a bit out of bounds, and carry mine as an administrative reload for the immediate post-incident environment.

I can't imagine carrying one speed-loader much less two...and with the additional room a holder takes up, in my pocket. Feels uncomfortable just thinking about it.

I contacted A holster and they said if I send in two 5 star speedloaders they will use them to make me a custom pocket carrier. They responded very fast as well. I’ll pick up a few spare speed loaders and send them in some time soon.

Prior to two years ago I carried a lone slowstrip in the watch pocket of my jeans. got to thinking one day I think I'll try one of my HKS speedloaders loose in my pants pocket and see how long it would retain the bullets. Long story short in the last two years of carrying daily that speedloader has never released the bullets into my pocket. Now that I exclusively wear cargo pants I keep the speedloader in the long side pocket and don't even know it's there. it's easy to pick it up by the frame, as you don't want to grab it by the twistknob anyway you might spill the rounds before you get the loader up to your cylinder. I'd give it a try before getting something that looks like it will take up all the room in your pocket.

This may not work for everyone but I’ve had good luck with the Zeta6 K-Pak https://zetasix.com/
It’s a speed strip set up as 2 nested crescents of 3 rounds each. You load 3 rounds, flip, repeat and close. I’m using them with my Kimber and they are almost as fast as a speedloader for me. YMMV! This photo is from their website.

Looks nifty.

For my own part, I carry speed strips in pockets on on belt but speed loaders on belt only. Just too ungainly in a pocket for my taste.

I suspect pocket speed loader carry is practically limited to HKS speed loaders, given they twist lock. Safariland with their push-release would likely end up dumped in the pocket.

Looking at the 5-star speed loaders, they look like HKS made from aluminum. I think they look pretty. I am sure the gun-game guys would bag on them like the HKS, though.

Maybe not in 90°+ temps, but I have taken to wearing a vest alot. Comes in handy. I usually put 2 speedloaders in my left pocket since I'll be reloading with my left hand. Then maybe 1 in left front pants pocket as backup. With most pants its not uncomfortable. I do have two 4-chambered canvas belt pouches which I seldom bring unless travelling far, in the woods with other gear, or need to be in a "sensitive" area. I have 8 loaders for my Bulldog and 4 for my Dan Wesson, both 357's.

I wore my idpa vest today for breakfast out with my buddy. It’s a cabelas vest with 4 million pockets. I fabric glued all the right side flaps shut to make just one pocket that’s EZ to access. One HKS and a strip.
