That would pair well with a wrangler, the price is right & they can share ammo. Plus the added benefit of becoming a revolver guy at the same time. Win/win situation.

That revolver looks nice! But I don’t know about single handed pistols at all. Might one day give a AR15 556/223 a try or a 9mm PCC sub gun a try one day it could go either way.
Ive been shooting/hunting since the late 90s, and only got into handguns about 4 years ago. Theres another addiction lol.
.22s never a bad place to start a collection, I went for almost 10 years without one.....
dont know how i made it....

My first rifle, a late '70s 10/22, was a great choice back then as your 10/22 TD is now! Might I suggest another Ruger, say a Mk.II or Mk.IV semi-auto pistol, as the perfect companion to your .22 rifle.

Times change -- my first was a bolt action I hounded my dad into buying for my 15th birthday. Still treasure it 45 years later.
I would have loved a cool rifle like your's as my starter!

I'll also say welcome to the addiction. Was your 10/22 a gift from someone or from yourself? I treat all firearm purchases like a gift even if I got it from me. Sometimes I get one and it's the ugly sweater kind, and I realize it needs a new home. But its still fun when it's new to me.

Might I ask why you have not gotten out to shoot it yet? Life goes by too fast. Grab a friend and head to a range or gravel pit. Enjoy that TD while you can.

My first rifle was a hand me down Winchester Model 69 Boys Rifle, a shortened single shot 22. Learned a lot from that rifle.
Forget about a handgun for now. Learn the basics with a rifle. If you buy your own ammo you will be less in lined to waste it with unaimed firing.

The Ruger PCC takedown is accurate and fun.
I suggest it as a next step.
Or a 22 semi auto pistol other than the Sig Mosquito.
