Plastic That Ain't Ugly

I still think the overall look of the Ruger SR9c is very pleasing to the eye. The HK VP9 and Steyr M9 also win some style points as does the Kahr CM9 for it's minimalist approach and super clean lines. The CZ P07 is a little bit "blocky" looking but I think it's business-like appearance more than makes up for it. Just one man's opinion!

I think the P9 is okay, way nicer than a Glock. Two guns I shoot best a CZ PCR and uggggg a G19. Oh well, I'll keep them both.

IMHO, one of the best, most intelligently designed service pistols out there

Personally, for me it is the best. I have many, and they are all great but the P99 just has such a nice SA trigger. It, like the ppq I had before it had just a little too nice and light a trigger for me to feel comfortable carrying it appendix...which is why the P99 is so genius. Long smooth first pull and then light and crisp...yes please. I’ve got other dasa guns but the hammers poke me in the gut and they are a bit too heavy for me. P99 solves all my problems.

Yeah, so say y'all.
One of my favorite shows, and not just for Katee.
The VP70 is the only pistol I've ever fired where I had to switch trigger fingers to finish the magazine!
Looking at the 'cool factor' in that photo makes me wish I had kept mine.

I don't know.
Way more blued steel than plastic in my safes, but I enjoy both equally.
And I'll bet (deep down) you do too! ;)

Say Ernie Bass, does that SR9c come with different backstraps?

I wouldn't put much money down because you will lose that bet.

Speaking for Mr. Bass, well Yes and No. There's one backstrap insert; flat on one side, slightly curved on the other. I'm using the flat side on my gun while it looks like Mr. Bass has the curved side on his SR9c.

You tellin' me the Phantom wasnt a work of art AND functional? :D

Thats the great thing about the pistol world- you might have to pay more, or endure a weight penalty, but there are good looking guns out there which function just as well as their more utilitarian tupperware counterparts. You can have your cake and eat it too if you want.
Lots of AirForce Phantom guys called it 'double Ugly' or 'Rhino..but they were USAF, so they didn't know squat.

Sure, some guns are 'pretty', but for a functional gun or fighter aircraft, how it looks means a lot of nuthin..to ME. Some said the F-14 was 'pretty', I didn't PLUS it was a pile to fly and fight..

Lol!

I thought the Tomcat was gorgeous, but what do I know, I think Warthogs look good too......:D

Turkey was 'pretty' to some but unreliable, crappy engines, tough around the 'boat'..a Warthog is the Glock of air to ground aircraft..reliable, easy to fly, very accurate, FUN to fly..I think, because of its utility, it was beautiful also.

And well armored enough to take hit after hit and keep flying... What in Hell did the US Services replaced the A-10 with?

Thread drift and nothing right now..this aircraft, A-10, is purpose driven and does an excellent job. The F-35 is poorly suited to CAS(Close Air Support) and the various turbo prop offerings, most just rehashed civilian models, don't have the punch nor load capability of the A-10. The latest gen A-10, VERY capable.

Thanks to yours and Ernies photo, I find myself drawn to one.
Gun shows to handle one are a ways out, so your thoughts on handling, comfort, point-ability, and such.
Striker fired with a manual safety appeals to me for a bigger firepower 'car gun' over my current Smith 60.
After perusing GB, I see that they are priced reasonably and that they are moving.

Very well suited for someone with small to medium size hands. I knew as soon as I picked one up it was a nice fit. I was impressed by the overall balance and handling of it. Great ergonomics and nice design touches like the reversible backstrap, easy to acquire sights, and a clean and crisp trigger with short reset really sold me on the gun. Got to love the 17 round spare mag too!
