The UPS tracking number they sent me is invalid also, that was 10 days ago. Still waiting.

my son ordered Two weeks ago and received an invalid UPS tracking number. He received a message today that his package was transferred to USPS two days ago.

Well thats no good. When I first got my tracking number it showed as packaged already delivered in some other state. Wonder if its a UPS or Midway Problem. Probably not a lot that can be done since the package is enroute

I order from Midway 2 or 3 times per month and they have been up to full speed for well over a month. Five days is the longest I’ve had to wait post WuFlu craziness but I never ever let my order get handed off to usps.

My most recent order came via UPS MI, which apparently stands of mail innovations. That means final delivery by USPS, and it's got to be the slowest shipping option. Once USPS gets it delivery takes place the next day but it takes about a week after the "your order has shipped" email for UPS to make that exchange.

Same here. The tracking number they gave me showed up as invalid on the UPS site and showed already delivered in another state on the USPS site. The order was delivered by USPS about 9 days after the order was placed.

The trend now with every vendor seems to be to create the label immediately and send an email saying it's been shipped, but it may not even be picked up by the carrier for another day or two. I think we've been spoiled by the really fast shipping that was becoming the norm and now that's no longer the case. Shipping times have increased by quite a bit in some cases.

I placed an order 9 days ago for scope rings. I received a tracking number the following day which showed that the item was delivered 04/04/2020. Now the tracking number says it is invalid.

Well my order from Monday arrived today. Glock 35 magazine and a steel guide rod. Maybe I should compare tracking numbers from the package and what they sent from e-mail

Order placed Tuesday evening, 6/23. Order received before lunch, Friday, 6/26. Cheapest shipping available.

It’s hard to ask for much better than that.

Wyman

ETA- I also got the invalid shipping code message. But if you read through that message it states that 1 reason could be that it hasn’t been picked up by the carrier yet. A half day later I checked it again, and it said “In transit”.

I seems the UPS innovations packages are being held for 1 to 2 days (likely 2 days from my experiences) either by UPS or the post office while regular USPS mail gets delivered as scheduled.. UPS claims to drop it off at a local post office USPS claims they only get a shipping label and delays tracking information. That is using their web tracking services.

This is a problem when the weekends approach and all other regular USPS mail goes out as scheduled on Friday while the ordered innovations package sits somewhere close to your residence over the weekend. The last time (fairly recent) it was not even delivered on the scheduled delivery date ,which in my opinion should be a worst case prediction, but the day after.

I don't want my mail to be sitting around somewhere an additional 3 to 4 days instead of being delivered.

Whether retailers care or not I am letting people know that someone like me is not going to get used to this and adapt. If I know a seller is using innovations the first thing I am going to do is look for my product somewhere else. If the item is hard to get I may order but as long as this service is the only option someone like me is not going to be a regular customer.

I am not a cheapskate and am willing to pay extra for proper on time shipping but I have a very low tolerance for bureaucratic nonsense.

Mail delivery has evolved quite a lot over the years and delivery times faster than ever. I refuse to allow anyone to con me into believing that moving backwards when it's not necessary is the latest and greatest "innovative" progress.

There is so much nonsense to unpack here I’m not sure where to begin.
First you should consider that because of the pandemic, there is currently more online shopping going on now then ever before. All those orders need shipped using the same infrastructure that ups and usps has had in the past to deal with far fewer shipments. So naturally things will run behind schedule.

As for a scheduled delivery date. That’s a best case scenario and I think you should adjust your expectations.

Go ahead and Be stubborn and unwilling to “adapt” to longer shipping times. Boycott midway if it makes you feel better, despite the fact that retailers have absolutely ZERO control over what happens to a package once the carrier has possession of it. I know this as I ship hundreds of packages per week with ups and have to field calls from people like yourself who don’t understand these things.

If shipping times are too long, pay for faster shipping.

This isn’t a conspiracy. Have a good day.

This is in fact how it is done. The reason I know is that a couple of months ago, I had two separate orders from MidwayUSA. One order was ammunition that had to go ground and the other order of parts went UPS Innovations. Both packages happened to be on the UPS truck on the same day and the driver delivered both at the house instead of taking the one to the local post office.

Ordered some items that were in stock. They shipped the next day and were at my door in 4-5 days.
Not bad for the current time and conditions.

None of it is nonsense except for your claims that hint about me wanting to boycott midway. I am just sharing my unedited lousy UPS innovations experiences.

I am simply saying that this broken method of shipping is not going to work out for me and unless it's an item I want that can only be purchased using innovations I will just have to find places that at least offer better shipping methods even for more money.

Don't blame me if this way of shipping falls to the bottom of my want to do list. I believe it is rightfully so.

We posted in an old thread just to fuss about Midway again, and now we are arguing, so this one is done.
