Admi move if necessary.

Just received an email from Amazon.com regarding quarterly donations to a charity of ones choice. The NRA received almost $12,000 this quarter from Amazons smile program to fund charities. This brought the total to almost $194,000 to date to the NRA Foundation.
If your an Amazon Shopper consider their Smile Program to fund an organization of ones choice.

How does it coexist with prime?
You just sign up, when you pick your charity then just shop Smile with your Prime account. Whenever I log into my account from a different place it will ask me if I want to re-direct to the Smile so the sale gives to the charity I chose. They get a good amount from me as I shop Amazon almost daily any more.

So, I would still be using my prime account? Ok, worth a look. Is there any downside or cost?
Nope, everything is still the same. Same account, same products, you just get to send a little to the place you pick with each order. I found out about this a couple years ago. Amazon seems to NOT make this well known. I don't think I ever see them talk about it. Only time I see it brought up is when others mention it.

I give to SAF through Smile. So far they've gotten $168,541.32. That wasn't all from me, though. ;)

Does anyone know if that’s really the SAF?

When I search for “Second Amendment” charities on Amazon, a Second Amendment Foundation in Bellevue WA shows up but the description is, “Educaiton In Support Of Gun Rights” - note misspelled first word. So if that’s really SAF they should get that fixed. Seemed iffy to me so I opted for someone else.

Funny you should say that. I was once talking to SAF on the phone (yearly donation drive), and the person on the phone didn't know about the Smile program. I had to tell them where on the SAF page the link was. :p

I designated Knife Rights for years, but recently I switched it over to a nonprofit organization that serves veterans (that I happen to work for). But I still donate to Knife Rights, too, on the side. Smile is a great program that's raised a ton of money for a lot of charities and organizations.

My donation isn't large, but the irony of the Woke quasi-Marxists at Amazon cutting a check to SAF is worth something.

I am always surprised at how pennies adds up over time. it is like the penny jar at the corner store where you take a penny if you are short or add a penny or two from your change for the next person.

I don't buy a lot from Amazon but I suspect if all of us firearm owners used the program whenever possible, many pro gun organizations supporting our 2nd amendment right would have a lot more money and not have to worry about fundraising as much.

I encourage all of us to keep this in mind as we buy from Amazon.
