I know, rifles are a lot easier to shoot well.

That aint no joke.

I can put a rifle down after deer season, not pick it up until the next deer season and see no noticeable decline in my ability to put rounds where I want them to go.
Not so with the pistola.
I just put an Ultradot 30 on my 7.5" Blackhawk and while my groups immediately improved over factory Ruger sights, they're not where I want them. It's just tougher and I know I just have to put in the time at the range.

Interests change.
“That’s for sure and for certain.” (Quigley - 1990):D
A year ago I had very little interest in any 22LR semi-auto handguns, and if you would have given me a Glock 22LR, I would have sold it and used the money to buy something else. But now that I’ve had my Glock 44 for a couple of months, it has become my favorite 22LR handgun - ever. I love shooting that little pistol, it works with everything I’ve fed it so far, and I’m darned accurate with it if I say so myself. Come fall, I'm sure I'll be able to use it for snipping the heads off a mountain grouse or two (fool hens) for the frying pan. I've already dropped a half-dozen or so ground squirrels with it.
My Glock 44 has replaced my old Model 63 Smith as my fishing/tackle box/kit gun. I thought no gun would ever do that, but as you said, “interests change.”:)

It doesn't improve accuracy, handling, comfort or recoil control. What it does improve is my experience when I handle, shoot or hunt with them. ;)

And that’s a good enough reason for you to own ‘em. :)

I appreciate the skill involved in doing the job right but it just doesn’t resonate for me. Not taking anything away or saying it’s bad, but if you gave me the choice of those revolvers with or without engraving, same price, I’d take ‘em without, even knowing that engraving of that quality represents a significant investment and that I’d be getting less expensive/valuable guns in the deal. I’m happy that someone enjoys them, and I hope they continue to be enjoyed for a long time.

I have to include these Chiappa revolvers as handguns I have absolutely no interest in. They're UGLY! JMHO of course.

I agree that they're fugly.
But I did get the opportunity to shoot one, and they shoot REALLY good. It definitely shoots better than it looks.

But I don't know if I could look at the darn thing either. lol

If you live long enough your interests and dislikes just might change.

Early in my gun life I was only interested in caliber size and horsepower. Now that I have arthritis, nerve damage, tinnitus, and hearing loss, I have no interest in big boomers.

I did not like the looks of Ruger DA’s, now I have a few in tamer calibers. I thought 38 was a useless choice, now it’s what I shoot the most.

I used to think engraving was hideous and ruined a fine gun. Now I appreciate the beauty and how it enriches the soul of the gun.

I never understood why guys were drawn to 1911’s and why the military didn’t use a more powerful round. Now I have so many 1911’s I don’t know how many I have. And the 45 acp is my second most reloaded round behind the 38.

So my good friends, never say never, have an open mind. It just might pay off.

45 Colt and single action revolvers. I’ve tried single action’s and have sold them, just prefer double actions. Nothing wrong with 45 Colt but I just prefer 44 magnum, can be reloaded light or full house and not have to worry if the revolver is strong enough like hot rodded 45.

Honestly, where to begin?

- Anything bigger than .45 acp; y'all can keep the wrist-breakers. Matter of fact, my favorite handguns now are in 22
- Anything with a barrel longer than 7.5" in a SAA; if a DA, 4" is the limit.
- Anything polymer, "tactical", or metric; guns are supposed to be made from walnut and blued (or stainless) steel.
- Firing shotgun shells out of a hand-gun; the .410 is a fine cartridge when placed in the proper gun. A handgun does NOT fit that description.
- Big bore derringers; who the h@ll shoots those for fun!?!?!?!?

Not interested in ever hunting with a rifle again. Been a dedicated handgun hunter for about 20 years now.

And as far as handgun hunting, I'm not interested in any of the specialty pistols.

For revolvers I guess it would be Colts, S&Ws without model numbers (Reg Mags will get a pass), Ruger Super RedHawks.

As far as interests changing, I just don’t care about 38 and 357 anymore which is a huge segment of the revolver world. I prefer bigger bores and smaller bores to .357 now. I would even rather have a .327.

At the same time I am not interested at all in 32 S&W, or 38 Colt or any of that ilk.

As other mentioned.. not interested in long barreled ( over 4 inch ) revolvers ...
As far brands are .. seems like I’ve had problems with or bad experiences with some brands ...
Im not marking any off my list... A deal is deal

I have zero interest in 9mm, .
223/5.56,
5.7FN,
AR platforms
And 99% of all plastic guns.
Although with that being said I am rather fond of certain Glock models namely the G20/21.
Weird I know but the question was asked.
