Im strongly considering the 365 SAS as my concealed carry. I do actually like the bullseye sight setup. Now I've watched the M.A.C YouTube on his review and how his sight was quite a bit off and I read some threads about it here. Is it still a problem? Any aftermarket fixes or will Sig fix it and how long will that take? If it's still an issue should I just save the $80 and get a normal 365, anyone had both and have opinions on both? Thanks for any insight

I have the regular P365, and my wife liked it so much I gave her one for Christmas and just put my Kahr CM-9 up for sale at my LGS because it is the same size but the Sig holds more.

I got mine last fall with the conventional sights. I thought hard about the SAS setup, but then I would have to learn another quick sight technique and I don't need to be so diverse. Plus I think with my 365, its the best I've shot out of the box with any pistol I've ever had. Its not a gimmick, its the real deal if you want go that direction, but I chose old school reliability and familiarity over the SAS. Plus nothing else I have has SAS type sights.
If you get one, let us know what you think after practicing with it for a while.

I have a stock P365 and another on which I’ve replaced the stock slide with the SAS slide. I didn’t care for the porting or the recessed controls but wanted to try the sight.

Mine was substantially off-center, hitting four or five inches away from point of aim at 7 yards. I loosened the mounting screws and found that I could move it slightly left and right, and I was able to move it just enough to get the POA and POI to agree. Since then I’ve had no problems.

I find the bullseye very intuitive and fast to acquire. I’m actually more accurate with it than the stock model. The bullseye is bright if you’re in daylight or under standard lights indoors, and the tritium lamps are good in dim or dark conditions. The one downside is when you are shooting from a dimly-illuminated position into a brightly-illuminated one - under those conditions, it’s hard to see the sight at all.

Hope this helps.

I love the concept of the SAS sighting system, but the porting kills it for me.

I’m not willing to purchase a nonported slide/barrel accessory knowing how proud Sig is of such things. What is so hard for them to put that on a frame without making me be stuck with an extra slide and barrel? After all, it not like Sig tries to keep their SKU’s to a minimum.

I’ll just patiently wait for them to offer a nonported SAS.

In the meantime I’ll just use my 365 with old fashioned sights.

I just got the P365 with the manual safety. I see Reinz has a ms model also. I have taken the pistol to the range twice already. I've shot factory ammo and 4 different variants of reloaded 9mm and not one hiccup. I am amazed at how well I can shoot this small pistol. Its a keeper.

I have the SAS and it works well for me. Fits my hand and shoots where I point it. The sights were easy for me to get use to. The ported barrel meant nothing to me but in the 3 sided shelter my range uses it is loud (Mother in Law loud according to one review). People either love them or hate them so if at all possible beg, borrow or rent to try one out first.

Like the SAS concept but not sure about it's real-life application. Could do without the barrel porting though.

Rent one first.....:)

Renting one is not the issue if it was just a plain 365. Its wanting to get a SAS version and finding the bullseye sight is off and not being able to adjust properly. Now it be nice if I could fire it before I buy it. May just end up skipping the risk, saving $80 and getting a plain 365

Is it still a problem?

The question that I would ask is: How would they "fix it?" The sight is a Mepro FT Bullseye https://us.meprolight.com/product/mepro-ft-bullseye/ mounted in an opening that has been milled into the top of the slide. Does it have enough adjustment to move it within the cubbie hole? Or is some predetermined distance off target at 7 yards "within spec." From the previous comment, it sounds like it has enough adjustment, at least for the distances that the firearm was intended to be marketed.

This concept brings up the importance of sight radius. With a short sight radius on a subcompact handgun, it is more difficult to shoot longer distances. Many subcompacts have a sight radius over 5". The regular P365 is right at 4.9". The sight radius of the Mepro FT Bullseye is only the length of the sight (it's not a published spec, although it probably works with a rear lens to extend the focal length of the center dot). Just like other higher end "thinking outside of the box" products, it is an attention grabbing concept, but everything has to fit together in exacting tolerances to be on target. It obviously has some adjustment, so it's not like a Colt Agent "trench sight," but I just go back to: How do you fix it if the one you purchase is appreciably off target. Do you live with always having to hold L/R? Mill the cubbie hole bigger? It reminds me of the 90's problem of making absolutely sure that your TV fit the enclosed entertainment center - haha.

$300 for a retrofit to convert my standard to sort-of "SAS"? Moving on...

I've seen a used one on armslist locally for the slide, $200. For that id be smarter to buy an SAS, then see if someone with a non-SAS wants to trade plus cash

I just picked up the P365 SAS, but the funny thing is, it did not come with ported barrel. Is this the new thing now considering many didn't want this feature in the SAS?

I just bought a ‘standard’ P365, with the external safety. I’m just waiting for the background check to clear, weekend & all.

I’ve looked at them, Dunham’s had it in stock locally, $499.

I have 2 p365XLs, a p365 and a p365SAS.

The p365 shoots marvelously on bullseye in the standard position (sights bisecting the aiming point) at 5 yards ... which is good for me. I can put all shots in the center rings at that distance.

The p365SAS shoots low for me and I have decided to sight like this:

Where you have no black under the center sighting ball area.

I sure hope yours wasn’t a mistake. I would like to find one as well.

Sig is selling unported p365 SAS slides for $299

Yes I know. But you need a unported barrel to go with it. Then I end up with extra take off parts I don’t need or want with a lot of money tied up in them.

Sig adds new models to their lineup almost weekly. It take no effort for them to offer a nonported model.

I have a 365 and a 365XL I had a 365 SAS and sold it to a friend. I could not find the sights easily and when I did it did not shoot close to point of aim.

Well I was keen to getting an SAS version, but I was out gun store hopping in my day off today and getting ammo. One of my regular stops I saw they had a Red Box 365 for $430. Couldn't pass it up. Still waiting on my CWP to arrive so I'll pick it up next week

I have the regular P365 and am content with it's performance. I'm on a Sig forum and there are a number of threads in which the SAS is discussed. It seems a majority of people don't like them, find the sights hard to acquire in all lighting conditions, are off quite a bit, and feel the regular P365 is just fine.

Then there are those that swear they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. But they are distinctly in the minority.

Very few people that own them can hit anything past 10 yards with any sort of accuracy, which is an instant disqualifier for me.
