Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

This is a bad question to ask someone who just took his first PRS course. Two scopes, new rifle, Creedmoor ammo, torque wrench, shooting mat...

I bought a box of federal S&W 40 ammunition yesterday for 15, got home and looked online and the cheapest I could find it was 18 plus shipping so a ran in this morning and bought 3 more boxes. Gotta keep the stock up as I try to shoot almost every day.

I got weak and ordered another Creedmoor. It should be here next week. Saw a few reviews on the M18 Mauser and decided I wanted one. Don't really need it but I will set this one up for trips when I don't need my Bergara. I thought about getting the 6.5 PRC but couldn't convince myself that 200 fps was worth new dies and hard to find brass when I already have everything for the CM. I'll ring it out and if it passes the less than MOA standard that I have for my guns, it will get used this fall. We will see. Now I have to decide on scopes. I have a Leupold VX-II, a couple of Sig Whiskey 3's and a Vortex Crossfire II, all 3x9. Might be a 2x7 Leupold in the back of the closet too. I don't remember.

Got reloading dies (Lee Precision), brass and bullets this week, so I can load for my new-to-me .41 Magnum (S&W M57). Got 50 rounds done last night, doing a mix of powders and MV to see what I like best. Got 200 more to go out of the brass I bought.

Got a few thousand rounds of 147 grain WIN 9mm training ammo for a series of classes coming up soon, as well as another RMR and VP9 Optic Ready for an October Gunsite 499, my second time through that class, but first time with a striker gun. I won the class shootoff there with a 1911 back in the early '00's, but being a bit older and slower now, this will be a different challenge.

A box of WBB 9mm, a box of Federal .40 and 3 boxes of Federal .30-30 Hammerdown to try in my Henry rifle from a local LGS. 2 GAllen handgun cases and 2 boxes of WBB .40 from Rural King. Glad to see .40 isn't as sought after as 9mm. More for me

After fruitlessly searching the Internet I got lucky and found a local source for twenty gauge buckshot. Didn't want to be greedy and take it all so I only bought seventy five rounds and left about that much on the shelf. Eight stores previous to that one had not so much as a single box of 2 3/4" shells.

Also, a couple of boxes of .30-30 loads, and to my surprise found one store that had brass-cased Boxer 7.62x39 so split the six boxes they had with a buddy. Everyone wants the cheap steel cased stuff so reloadable is hard to come by.

Not for lack of trying,,,

Sunday I hit several places looking for a certain type of .22 ammo,,,
And I also had a list of "things" I've been wanting.

I had $300 cash in my pocket,,,
I ended up buying a pitcher of beer instead.

The shelves are EMPTY here in Stillwater, OK.

Cleaning supplies for the 22 rifle I hope to pick up later this week -- Tipton 36" cleaning rod, jag, barrel brushes, patches.
I spent some time looking for T/CR22 rotary mags, but they just don't exist as far as I can tell.

Hoppe's gun and reel cloth. It seems my S&W Shield will rust almost instantly upon contact with my sweat despite starting the day with an oil bath. I'll see if this does this trick.

More ammo, lot of .22lr, a bunch of .40 and 2 boxes of 9mm Geco. Also bought a Sig P365 Red Box

I'm always surprised to hear this since the Shields are stainless steel with the minute finish. I wonder why they rust so bad?

I have a Shield but it mainly sees pocket carry so I haven't run into this issue yet.

Dropping my .280 Remington off at my smith's today to have it set back and re-chambered in .280 Ackley Improved. Does that count? Or should I have waited to post this until I pick it up? ;)

On Monday I went shooting, and while at the range I bought a bag of 25 Fed 9mm 124 gr HST for $25. Not the best price but I don't have a lot of defensive 9mm ammo

I've read that they apply their own finish because they didn't want to keep paying for licensing for the name-brand application of the finish. Glock has changed their process over the years, and my generation II Glock has periodically been bathed in sweat over the years and only barely, and mysteriously, pitted in a couple of places (no sign of rust). S&W's version of that finish ... well ... not so good on my Shield. Maybe one of these days I'll get it Cerakoted.

Hi...
Picked up my new leather ranger style gun belt yesterday.
Made by a local leather worker...Frontier Leatherworks in Strasbourg, Pa.
Very nice workmanship...matched it up to my holster perfectly.
Exceeded my expectations.
Highly recommended... excellent quality and an amazingly quick delivery.
Already seriously contemplating another leather rig.
