I tried Pachmyer presentation and a hogue monogrip. I'm not happy with either. The stock grips fit my hand but with heavy loads the trigger guard hurts my knuckles.
Anybody use any other grips and are happy with ghem?

S&W has about 6 different styles of stock grips. What are you considering stock grips on your revolver? A picture would help.

I like magnas (S&W or aftermarket) with a grip adapter as seen in this photo of my post war Heavy Duty.

Depending on how much you you want shoot it and how much you want to spend, you can always go with custom made grips from suppliers like RINK, or 3D Printed ones like Precision Target Pistol Grips.

Ive always preferred the looks of the Magnas and the Coke bottles, but they tend to suck when shooting a lot of heavy loads.

As much as I think the Houges are ugly, they have been the most comfortable and ergonomic for me as shooters.

Stay away from the new factory rubber grips. They cover the backstrap, move your trigger finger away from the trigger, and to add insult to injury, and actually its the other way around, they come together in a sort of dull knife edge at the seam, and concentrate the recoil into it, and into your palm. The Houges leave the backstap open, spreading out the recoil, and position your trigger finger where it belongs.

I liked the Hogue Tamer which was standard on the 460V so much that I've put them on my M629 and M610. These are all round-butts, and this grip model fits the X, N, K and L and Z frames. (I never even heard of a Z-frame Smith) 20200314_061832.jpg
