Hello. My name is Phill(ip). I teach 7th grade history and live in the USMC town of Jacksonville. Huge fan of 1911's. Love my Sig p365 xl. Have owned a wide variety of guns. Love all aspects of gun ownership, especially responsible ownership. Gun owners are a very loyal breed, but i try to keep an open mind and not be judgemental. Every manufacturer has its place, from Hi Point to Keltec to Wilson Combat, i would own them all. But, alas I am married so for now it is a Taurus PT1911 Government, and a Sig Sauer P365 XL. My question to members would be, how do I convince my wife to give the ok on more? It seems to get more I must part with what I have. I have bought and sold 11 guns in the past year! I mourn the loss of each, yet I welcome its replacement with joy! Anyway, thanks for having me.

Hi! I live in North Idaho and just purchased by my first firearm a few weeks back -- a Ruger New Vaquero, SA, .45 LC, 5.5" barrel. Just took the class last week for my enhanced CCW permit. The instructor didn't quite know what to do with me, I don't think. I was the only revolver in a class of 15. Maybe he figured he knew what I was doing and left me alone. Either way, I'm looking forward to learning from the community and getting to know other revolver enthusiasts. Thanks to the admins for letting me in.

Hello! My interest in and respect for firearms was inspired by step dad a retired police officer. He wasn't ever really a gun enthusiast, however I fell in love with them when I shot his Smith and wesson 5906 at 17. I have a nice Browning A bolt in 30.06 and I've started putting together AR's lately 5.56 and .300blk. Shoot basic handguns 9mm, .40 .45 .357 and Im advanced in volume and precision reloading. Id like to learn more about antique guns. Ive always said I dont make enough time for shooting and training since I enjoy it do much. So, Ive finally signed up for ccl classes and looking for some more places to shoot. Looking for like minded gun enthusiasts here so thanks for accepting!

Hello , I'm new to the forum and fairly new to gun owning. I've had my carry license for about a year now , and have acquired 3 semi autos , 2 revolvers , and 1 rifle so far. Recently started reloading as well. I guess I can say the bug has bit me. Thanks for having me .....

Hi everyone. I found this forum through googling "hot 32 loads."

I'm new to firearms. After being raised to believe, "People who own guns are bad people," it took about three weeks after leaving home to get over that. "I'm allowed to own guns now? Hot damn!"

Now it's 30 years later, and after buying one gun per decade and not shooting it, I'm finally starting to get into it for real. I've bought 14 handguns in the last 6 weeks or so. I've seen the good deals disappear right before my eyes, but I got some incredible prices before they vanished.

My main interest right now is .32s: ACP, H&R, and 7.62x25 so far... .327 will come later. I've bought 8 handguns in .32 in the last few weeks.

So far, only reloading has been with a Lee mallet loader in .44, but I've got a press and accessories still in the box, waiting for when I get time (and for when my cast bullets finally. get here; been waiting for weeks).

My question (it's been only partially answered here and elsewhere) to solve is this: how hot can a Beretta 81 go?

Beretta 81 is the same gun, with the same spring and more chamber metal, as a Beretta 84. Since an 84 can handle 220 ft-lb .380s, can 32acp be loaded to that kind of energy without a disaster?

Thank you for letting me participate in your forum.

Welcome. You may want to head over to the semi-auto handgun area with questions. I'm sure I don't need to caution you to beware of internet expertise, no matter how well-intentioned. Enjoy!

Hello. Just thought i I would introduce myself. I've been an avid firearms owner from an early age. My Father was a dedicated hunter. Being exposed to firearms and hunting from a very early age I branched out into small and large bore target shooting. Then came the handgun bug. I've a 20 year Veteran of the Marine Corp and Navy combined. My profession is a Broadcasting Engineer and along with that IT Professional since the business relies so heavily on IT related equipment. I have also been employed as a Police Officer but not recently. I am an avid pistol shooter, hunter and firearms enthusiast and collector I reload and do Gunsmith Work at an intermediate level. I'm looking forward to being an active participant in the forum.

Yeah it sounds like you've touched all the bases in your life, firearms related that is, and you should make for a perfect fit here on THR! So pull up a chair and stay awhile; there's plenty to read and comment on here!

Please allow me to offer you a warm welcome from one new member to another. I only have a handful of posts on this forum but so far? I feel as if I am at home.

Thank you for your service!

Tom
