Went to Scheels and found this new setup. Salesman said Dillon recognized the total cluster**** of the XL750's powder measure arrangement and how guys couldn't get their bullet droppers to work, so they came up with this design... Will work great on a 650 like mine as well.

Just received my dramworx hopper today. Looks exactly like mine except it's RED. LOL

I guess if folks can paint the Dillon Low Primer warning housing red, it's okay to paint a Hornady powder measure blue. Should have painted the Dramworx hopper housing to match...I painted the one on my Hornady powder measure Regal Red to match

I love Dillion, in my opinion, they are the best, however......

Like all great things, there is always a weak point.

With Lee, while mostly cheap, and great for entry level learning so one can learn if you want to get into reloading hardcore, Lees big weak point is their primer systems.

In a word, they simply SUCK!.

With Dillion, everything works great with the exception of their powder measures. They work geat with flake powders, they work OK with ball powders...but when it comes to stick powder.....****...LOL. They are beyond a joke. They plain dont work for stick powders...

4064? NOPE.
Varget? NOPE.
Reloader anything? NOPE. (RL 15 does decent.but not great)
7828....lol...LOL...NOPE!.
I got into a big arguement with them on the phone way back when I got my Dillion. Their suggestion?

Tape a fish filter pump to the hopper, and use a foot switch to give it a blast every so often....
I was like..."Youre Fing kidding right?"...

It went ever further downhill from there.
Now, Dillion recommends on their website to use a Redding measure for stick powder...seems I was not the only one calling them out on their "solution'..and now it seems they are FINALLY going back to the drawing board.

Bout time!

I have a Redding 10-X powder measure modified to work on a Hornady Case Activated Powder measure die that I use on a Dillon BL550. Works great. But it is still Redding green.

I prefer to use drum style powder measures on my progressive presses and the Hornady/RCBS case activated systems are more elegant than Dillon's slide powder measures. But, the Dillon powder measures on my SDB and SL900 presses perform well enough.

......that someone painted a less than ideal shade of blue.
Ha! That was my first problem with Dillon.........everything but a 1050 is painted a less than ideal shade of blue. I like their stuff fine....just hate the baby blue in my garage. ;) What can I say,.....we all have colors we cringe over....mine is baby blue except on a baby boy.

I thought of painting my highly modified Hornady pistol bullet feeder green, but I thought better of it. 1. the exact color is impossible to find in a spray can....2. red goes with green just fine. :)

IME none of the P.M.'s do big stick powder that well.....but the RCBS/Hornady do it better than a slide type. The Lee? Never tried a "Perfect rubber sweepered Lee, some swear by them, some swear at them. Wonder what the ammo factories use.......also wonder whether the new Uniflow 3 with it's rounded stem does better than flat or worse.....have yet to test that. I know some of the Reddings have their stems rounded ..... the other way..... so they have a round cavity bottom like a pill bottle.

RCBS’ pitch on the rounded end of the stem is that it fits the curvature of the cylinder housing, such that a zero setting on the adjustment scale really means zero. Outstanding! I’ve been desperately seeking a powder measure that could accurately throw a zero charge. o_O
I love RCBS, but you have to wonder which institution of higher learning they get their marketing guys from.

No comment about the marketing guys.....but I like the round ..... or more to the point....I like that there's no sharp edge to scrape the inside of the drum housing. But I admit no proof it helps with load accuracy.

Ive used the Lee (so called Perfect powder measure)a good bit. It actually does do very well with large stick powders...if one wanted to fill caes off press. The trouble with it...its too cheap and flimsy to mount on a press. Its does suprise me how well it works, being so said flimsy
