I was recently given 2 weeks off from work. I don’t know if given is the right word but the told me don’t come back for 2 weeks. My first thought was that I have a membership at an indoor range that I can walk to and I’m basically going to live there ... except for trips to my reloading presses.

Then I thought that I could be sick, therefore I’m not going. I really don’t want to talk about what illness it may or may not be that I may or may not have been exposed to but am I being a dweeb about this? Should I just man up and go?

Personally, I’d hope that everyone at the range I go to would error on the side of caution and that’s why I’m just making ammo., there’ll be plenty of time to shoot it later.

The bummer is that I have a few newer guns that I’d love to develop load for and this is such a great opportunity.

Do you like the idea of going to the range and being exposed to a disease that someone else has?

If you don't know if you have this "sickness" or not, and it is transmittable and potentially deadly to a small percentage of the population; I trust that you know what the moral choice is here.

That really depends.

If I had a cancer diagnosis pending, heck yeah.

If I’d been exposed to someone with COVID-19? No, I’d be isolating at home to minimize the risk of being a spreader. Even if you don’t care about the health outcomes, the longer it takes to contain covid, the more financial hurt everyone will be in so spreading is a bad deal.

But driving out i15 until I reached a safe stretch of BLM land that allows shooting? Yep I’d do that every other day in your shoes.

I can't figure out what you're asking here. It sounds like you're asking us if we think you're okay going out in public with yourself being sick, and expecting others to protect themselves from you. But, I don't even know if what you think you're sick with is something that you can be spread.

So then, it's maybe a question of you wondering if what you think you're sick with is instead something that you're worried might make you less able to fight off another infection from others in public, and are expecting others to protect you from them.

None of us has the information needed to guide you. You do, so you make the decision yourself.
