Ammo Storage thoughts

If the fire is good enough to ignite ammo in stacked boxes, your house is probably toast anyway. In fact a safe will buy some time over just having boxes. Of course if it comes down to explosive legislative requirements , you should follow that.

I keep mine in ammo cans in a job box locked up in my shed. Not worried about temps- we kept ammo and explosives in 40' shipping containers in afg. year-round: snowing in the winter and 100+ degrees in summer. Never had any problems there, haven't had any problems in Fl for 3+ years either.

Consider floor loading for your home, but it isn't unreasonable to use job boxes to store ammunition inside a climate controlled room as long as your padlocks are good enough.
