The gal on the line from MB said at any one time they have over a million bullets in stock. They are now making them as they go out the door and the storage is empty. Crazy times.

MBC called you? I would've appreciated a courtesy call, but I know they're covered up. My order is going on 5 weeks, so I made a quick call to make sure all was OK. The guy said they were at the 4 week backlog mark. Crazy times, indeed...just try to find primers!

I was stocked fairly good. I only load what I shoot at the range. All my factory ammo is don't touch. Strange how things go, 223 and 9mm are the 22s of sandy hook era. I still see 22s on the shelf. Went to wallyworld and they are down to just shot gun ammo and some hunting ammo. I know they are phasing out of guns slow so it does not look like they are.

I just hope they don't make changes to meet demand. I like their bullets and don't want to see them go under when this slows down again.
It is crazy times caused by crazy people.

I put in an order about three weeks ago for a box of 115gr 9mm lead. I have a couple of boxes but in all the crazy I thought I will add one. They make great priced range bullets. I see the AK is not the in demand gun also. The AR won. Mags are not spiking in price but I see they are getting thinner stock. SG used to have a lot now they only have a few C products. I can see mags going up if this keeps on.

Two weeks ago I got my order of .358 wadcutters and .430 175 RNFP filled in about three days.

Some they had in stock there I guess...

Stay safe.

My guess is that the more popular bullets are the ones back ordered the most. I.E 9mm, 357/38 308 223 ect.

Gallant is trying to manage by casting/coating only a few styles, 4 weights of 9mm, one .40, one .45, one .30.
Pity, the .45 is not the 200 gr roundnose I have come to like.

I know a million bullets sounds like a lot, but it's just 1000 cases of 1000 bullets each. That doesn't take up an outrageous amount of room in a large warehouse, or factory staging area. Boxes stacked 10 high, 10 wide, and 10 deep, that's a thousand boxes, and a million rounds. Even a large caliber round could stack that many rounds into a space approximately the size of a small living room, bedroom, or dining room.

When you break that down to wages, cost of material, and machine operation time. That becomes a lot of overhead. Just to be ready for people acting like idiots.
Storing that much product would be sure to raise the price of said product.

I never truly understood the run on 22LR back then, but the fact that 22 is still available today, while 9 and 223 have disappeared, tells me that people are concerned about something much much more serious than their ability to plink coke cans while on a camping trip.

DB I totally agree. We have a perfect storm trifecta. Plague, Riots across the country with the support of dumbocraps and an election that if Trump looses they will be coming after guns. People don't feel safe any more because of the stupid idiot dumbocraps and Antif and Burn Loot Murder.

I don't think 22LR is readily available either. I see prices of $50 a brick and up when you can find it. I don't personally need any more, but I think it has been swept off the shelf along with everything else.

I think its just where you are brewer. SGammo has it for 8 cents a round.

One obscure variety. Everything else is higher. I see CCI standard velocity getting snapped up on gunbroker for $75 a brick plus shipping.

I just got back from my local walmart and they had all kinds of Winchester, CCI and Federal 22lrs. Nothing in 9mm

Considering the scarcity and high prices I am seeing online, you should probably go back and buy all of it they will sell you.
