Adding another to the collection

I always wanted one when I youngster. I got a little older and bought the BK9 from Ka Bar. Way too big to really use, in my opinion. Maybe the Ka Bar iteration of the crewman is just as good as Camillus? I presume the spine is quite thick on both makes.

Been looking for another BK&T knife, picked up another. This time around it's the BK-4 Machax.

I think I'll always like big choppers, so this one will fit right in with it's brothers.

I bought a Timberline Specwar earlier this year, been wanting one for close to 30 years! I posted about it here as I knew you guys would like it also.

So that it wouldn't feel left alone, I saw another Timberline knife that looked good and would look good next to one of it's Brothers! This great looking knife will definitely look good in the collection. It's called the Zambezi, hefty and seems well made, even though it's made in Taiwan.

I've never owned or even handled a Hen & Rooster knife, that is until yesterday! I saw this one and had to have it, very nice knife.

Guess this means that I'll have to check out their website and see what other knives they have that I like. Anyone else have one?

Certainly not the traditional Hen & Rooster pocket knife of our grandfathers', but a good design. The fact no one will state what the steel is would give me pause, but at that price I should try one out and test it.

They're a brand name now owned by Frost with manufacturing in Europe (and probably east) contracted to other companies. https://www.henandrooster.com/About/

Original Hen & Rooster knives made in Solingen were well regarded. This looks nice, but no mention of steel or country of origin, and fabric sheath isn't encouraging. If it was made in Germany that would be emphasized on blade and in copy.

Sparky,
Yeah, I looked on their website and didn't see it either. The model number is HR001.

This next knife is an absolute beauty, that and I'm sure that whatever body part it comes into contact with, will be one less on the other guys body! :p

I give you the Reinhardt Combat Kukri! May my enemies rest in pieces!

Being that it's been awhile, I saw this knife and knew it would be mine. One of a few Blackjack knives that I've wanted.

Blackjack Marauder Mk 1-A, it's almost 100%, the edge needs to be touched up just a bit.

This is my new Ka Bar BK 62 alongside the also new SAK Compact. I did the mustard forced patina project on the Ka Bar. Looks OK to me. Haven't had a chance to use either of them yet, but I expect they will be just fine. Pretty sure I could do worse than to have these two with me when I get dropped off somewhere in the middle of Montana.

I would take them both also if I was dropped off in nowhere Montana also.

The big knife is a little much for the tasks that the smaller knives would excell at.

Picked up this Kizer Salient, what a beast of a knife. Made out of 1095, 6 1/4" long blade, 1/4" thick spine and 11 3/4" OAL.

Kizer is probably the best knife company in the East. Definitely making quality knives with quality steel.
