I shot my new HK P30 today...well actually yesterday. I put 70 shots on target while administering different grip styles and trigger finger location. My grouping was very consistent and well within center of mass. Recoil was absorbed well by the pistol making getting back on target quick and easy. The gun shot flawlessly without any hiccups. I did take time last evening to change out some grip panels to better fit it to my liking. I like the fact that I can tailor the grips for that perfect fit with the many combinations that it allows. I'm very satisfied with this pistol and can see it replacing my SIG P365XL as my EDC.

Not today, but tomorrow. The LCP 22 and my favorite the LCR22. Really tempted to bring the Nano and the LCR9mm, but hate to shoot 9mm which is a precious commodity. Never dreamed lead would be worth more than gold.

Ya' know Loon Wulf, I'm told it is a lot like ARs. If you put two of those things in a safe together, lock it and wait a month, when you open the safe there will be THREE AR'S in there!!

Life finds a way
Said Malcolm.........

Then we get eaten by hungry T-ARex in a tikki hut bathroom......

I think ars maybe even more prolific, I've had them spontaneously replicate from random small parts.

Today I had a couple empty gallon milk jugs to get ready for recycling. Filled them with water and put them out 150 yards in the pasture and used a Ruger No.1v in 223 to flatten them. Walking back through the pasture I saw a striped gopher watching me. Got back to the Ruger and he was still standing there so I had to take him out. Target of opportunity.

Went down to Eureka Springs, Arkansas to look at a house for a possible VRBO / vacation home purchase. Turns out the city bans VRBO from the city limits.

On the drive back stopped at Night Hawk Custom and got a tour.

Each gun is more or less handmade. All parts are manufactured in house. No MIM or castings. Their motto is 1 gun 1 gunsmith. Each gun they produce is worked on by hand by 1 gunsmith the whole way through. Got to shoot one of their pistols in their test range - wow! The slide feels like it's on ball bearings!

I've handled some Wilsons in the past and recall their slides being difficult to pull back from being so tight.
I didn't get that feel with the Nighthawk Customs I handled. I could easily manipulate the slides on the guns I handled.

Spendy guns but awesome! I really like their smoked nitride finish as seen on these Colts:

A buddy of mine came over Friday to shoot.
Got 2 of his AR15's sighted in at 25yds off my back porch.

I shot my Sig P365 some more. Finding I prefer my Ruger LC9S Pro over the Sig.
I can hit my 25yd gong more consistently with the Ruger.

Tried carrying the Sig in a kydex OWB holster under an untucked shirt. It rubbed my skin raw.

Last Friday was a 1911 day, I took all my 1911s to the range. Yesterday I took my Glock G44 to test fire it after installing an aftermarket trigger in it. Today I took my Kel-Tec PMR30 and CP33 to the range. I wanted to sight in both with the red dot sights I installed and mainly to test out the PMR30 after adding the extra weight of the red dot and mount.

Well; not today , but the other day the M-1 Garand and the Mosin Nagant 91/30 both got taken to the range. Set up the chronograph and chrono'd a couple handloads for each of them. Along with firing a few 100 yd. groups with those same handloads. Recently put a scout scope and a no gunsmithing scope mount on the Mosin and it's amazing how I can tighten up those 100 yard groups with 2.5 power magnification versus my senior citizen eyesight using irons, (grin). Fired some of my target loads for the M-1 that have a 150 gr. Nosler Accubond instead of a 150 gr. FMJ just in case I ever deer hunt with it in memory of one of my late uncles who carried an M-1 in WW2 and thought it would be neat for me to fill a deer tag with an M-1. Took a couple pix of the Mosin also.. IMG_9375.JPG .. IMG_9557.JPG ..
