Does anyone here have a Magpul SGA stock for a Remington or Mossberg? I'm wondering what your impressions of the stock are, as I am considering a replacement for my Mossberg stock. It would be going on a 500 with an 18.5" barrel. Thanks!

I like mine. The pistol grip is more vertical than the factory stock. It has LOP stacks so it’s adjustable. It’s on a 20 gauge Rem870.

Have a 590A1 that got the Magpul treatment. Main reason is Mossberg stocks are made for 6'6" vikings. I needed something shorter. I added the adapter to use the R1 pad.

I have one on my 500. I had gotten a couple Mapul stocks for some 10/22s and really liked the grip angle, so I thought I'd try in on a shotgun too. Obviously the balance and recoil is different on a 12 ga. than a .22lr, but the grip still feels good to me. I'd buy it again. (I did not get the Magpul forend, so I can't comment on that)

I’ve had my Mossberg for many years. In that time, it’s worn several different stocks, as I searched for my “perfect setup”.
Last was the Hogue overmold short LOP. Unfortunately, 12” was just too short, otherwise I liked it.
I held off on the Magpul because I felt the price was a bit high.
A couple months ago, I found a good deal on a used SGA on eBay, in the FDE color. I like it very much, the pistol grip area is very comfortable. I find that the angle makes it easy to pull the butt in tight to the shoulder. With the LOP spacers, it’s easy to get it just right. I’m trying to decide on an MLOK light base.

That's where I am right now. I had a compact stock on there and left my face bruised after shooting it maybe five or six times (I'm not inexperienced with a shotgun, having shot them for about 13 or 14 years, but that stock did not fit right). I have a Speedfeed currently, but I have seen some evidence online that they are not designed well and have a disturbing tendency to fail. I haven't reconciled myself to spending the money yet, although I am envious of your opportunity to buy a used one.

Yeah, with the Hogue short LOP, I had to be real careful with the thumb placement! I could make it work, but...
Hogue really should offer spacers, because it’s a great stock, otherwise. I particularly like their forend. But I went ahead and installed the Magpul forend in the intent of putting a light on it.
Tractiongrips makes a die cut stick on rubber grip for the Magpul forend I will be adding.
Keep looking, one will show up

Judge- sorry I haven’t responded sooner- I personally like the grip angle, knowing I’m not shooting trap with it. Easy to access the Remington safety button mounted in the rear of the trigger guard.

Well, I bought one. It's not installed yet, but it will be in the next week, if I can find some time to slip away to the basement. :D

I recently got one for my Maverick 88. I like it a lot better than the factory stock, which was too long for me. A big benefit is being able to adjust the length of pull. I just got the buttstock as I got a streamlight TL racker light for the forend.

So, I definitely like the stock much more than the factory one. The grip texture strikes a nice balance between grippy and cheese grater.

The best feature is the adjustable LOP. I need to bring it to the range and verify what LOP works, but I'm pretty sure that I have the right amount of spacers in there.
