Glow paint around red fiber optic?

Has anyone tried this? I only have one functional arm and find it easier to stand kinda sideways when shooting. Problem is that my vision is 20/40 and that eye sees things blurry up close. Makes the red fiber optics on my revolvers almost impossible to get a good sight picture with. Just too blurry and dark through that eye. I'd put night sights on it but I don't wanna ruin how great it picks up in good lighting.

I was wondering if anyone has ever put glow in the dark paint around a red fiber optic, and how it worked if so. Just want to be able to pick my sights up a bit faster. I don't wear glasses and don't really want to. It's never been a problem in any area of life besides shooting at dim lit indoor ranges.

Instead of "glow paint" find a product called Superluminova C2 (the brightest), available at watchmaker supply.

Thank you both. I will give one of those a try.

Have you tried a green fiber optic?
Red appears as a blob to me but the green fiber optic sights on my Glocks do not. I have Tru-Glo TFX night / fiber sights on my Glocks.

I have but it's just an availability thing. These new Colt revolvers are pretty limited in after market options. I know I could just replace the rods but seems like a bit of a hassle.

Whatever you do, don't use glow in the dark paint. Got a certain brand (I'd bet they are all the same) and after exposing to a light it would fade out in a few minutes. I have a Dawson precision front f/o sight with the green rod on my CZ, and it was pretty easy putting the rod in. Too bad the Tru-Glo TFX isn't available for your Colt, but the clock face stuff looks like a good idea.

That’s basically what the Trijicon HD pistol sights do. You get a big blob of brightly colored fluorescent paint that really stands out in the daytime. The paint will glow in the dark for a pretty good while too. If it’s really dark you have a tritium vial in the center as the ultimate backup.

The large paint blob makes it easy to track the front sight while shooting. The matching rear sight has 2 subdued tritium vials in it and a very large notch that lines up with the front sight.

Not the best sights for target work at a distance but great for close fast shooting.

All "Glow in the Dark" Paint is not equal
The good stuff "Europium" is more expensive that the cheap stuff.
But it will still only glow so long after being exposed to light.
Not saying that is an answer, just saying it is not all created equal

I got some powder from ChemistryCabinet on Amazon ($10 for a little vial) and mixed it up in clear nail polish.
Left a blob I didn't use on my kitchen counter in the sun.
Was still glowing when I got up at 4AM for an early morning snack.
