Howdy Again

Oooops, forgot this is the revolver section.:)

Not really, I just couldn't resist.

While I am not enamored of the current crop of S&W revolvers, I like this 9mm 1911 quite a lot. I fired a friend's last year, and I liked it so much I ordered one for myself.

Just for fun, I brought it to the range one day with a Luger and a P-38. Just for fun. No surprise, the trigger on the S&W 1911 is much better than the other two.

Driftwood...you are the only one allowed to show your pistol in this revolver thread, only god knows how many non- blued revolvers you have...nice to see a exquisite example of a 1911...

I had to really look at yours for a minute. Is it a 5"?

Here’s mine, a 1949 M&P 38 with a 6” barrel.

I originally bought this slightly rough looking .32S&W specifically to shorten into a snub. 3AFD42B1-4D6F-4FAF-8425-9CE94743ED5B.jpeg
I don’t think I can bring myself to do it at this point though. It would be even better to chop a slightly newer but still ugly version with the later stronger latch, so I should just wait to find that gun.

My only S&W, 617 Target Champion, no dash. Nill grips, apex tactical smooth trigger, changed by the previous owner, it was made with a serrated but I like it better this way, original trigger saved of course, might need it some day.

I bought it with the original target type grips, but if I'm not mistaken, it would have come from the factory with the smooth, deep finger grooved combat type grip, that one seems hard to find here in Sweden.

Dirty on the pictures, I like to shoot it alot and it shoots great!

Also, hi! I'm new here on THR. I've been lurking for a while but never posted before. I usually don't sign up for membership on internet forums, but I like this one alot, and I especially enjoy Driftwood Johnson's informative posts accompanied with beautiful pictures! Thank you! I'll most likely hang around here around the revolver posts, and the reloading subforum.
