So, like it says, if you had to choose only three .22 rim-fire Rifles to own, what would they be and why?
I shoot for fun so I'm not worried about scopes and such. Minute of tin can accuracy is fine with me.

Ruger 10-22 Rifle
- Classic rifle, made for around 55 years.
- M1 carbine looks, fun to shoot, excellent open sights, a very good trigger pull, and reliable.
- 10 round rotary magazines that I really like.
- A traditional birch stock which has a very nice finish.
- Accepts Skinner sights, will enhance M1 carbine appearance and accuracy.
- Everyone should own a 10-22.

Browning BL-22 Grade II
- Another classic rifle, around forever.
- Western lever action, beautiful, fun to shoot, with a high capacity tube magazine.
- Excellent open sights, very good trigger pull, very reliable, very high quality.
- Grade II walnut with fine line checkering and shiny poly finish.
- Engraved receiver (why not).
- Always wanted one, so I finally bought one (not getting any younger).

Rifle #3 - ??

My #1 would be he Winchester '06 that was the first firearm I ever shot, at age 8. Not the prettiest, not the most accurate, but this one will be the last to go.

#2 would need to be a 10/22.

#3 would need to be a Marlin 39A, even though a Browning SA would be in the running.

In that case, I'd keep three of the ones I have.

I'd probably keep my old 1966 model 10/22 that I've had since I was a teenager. That'd be primarily a sentimental decision, but I still enjoy shooting it, especially after having the trigger worked by Brimstone.

Beyond that it'd get harder to choose but I'd probably keep the BRNO Model 4 in .22 LR because it's my favorite to shoot from a bench-type setup...

and perhaps the CZ 452 FS in .22 Magnum.

I have a real soft spot for my Harrington and Richardson 760, it’s a auto ejecting single shot with open sights and it’s easily my favorite .22

I also have a browning A-bolt in .22lr that I wouldn’t want to be without.

those two have me covered but I guess I’d take a semi auto of any flavor for the third.

I have 4 that I actually shoot. I could let the CZ go and keep the other 3. Top rifle is a custom 10-22. #2 is a Tikka T1, #3 is a Ruger 10-22 VTR. It isn't significantly heavier than the standard models so it is my all around gun. #4 is the CZ 452 American. It looks pretty, but isn't anymore accurate than the Rugers, and can't hang with the Tikka.

I did this at 250 yards with the Tikka, but the Rugers will do almost as well.

Mission accomplished several years ago.

CZ452 Training Rifle because I wanted a CZ452, and I wanted one with a slide adjustable rear sight.
Zastava MP22 because I wanted a .22 mag carbine.
Marlin 39AS because I wanted a lever .22.

I only own 2 as it is - a Marlin Model 60 and a Ruger 10/22. I don't find .22 rifles "intriguing" so while I have a few for informal plinking, they're not something I'd buy a lot of. Honestly I'd probably only own the Ruger but my brother got me the Marlin as a Christmas gift one year.

OK, I'll play...
#1: Remington 572 - because it is a classic slide action. (Mine was made ca. 1969.)
#2: Sako P94 Finfire - Pretty and very accurate. (Not nearly as expensive as an Anschutz and almost as accurate.)
#3: Brownng Buckmark Target - Ugly thing, but a heck of a lot of fun to shoot. (Think I'll name it Ugly Betty.)

Out of what I currently have...
  • Marlin 39A
Grail gun of mine. Built to last.
  • Remington 550-1
Neat auto that is not the typical Marlin 60/Ruger 10-22. Supposedly handles S/L/LR.
  • Marlin 81TS
Actually any reasonably accurate tube-fed bolt would be fine here. This was my go-to for years.

I'm just a casual plinker. I never say never, but I don't see myself doing the high-end .22 rifle thing if I haven't done it by now.

I have 6 22 rifles
2 Henry H001's
CZ 452 Varmint
Tikka T1X
Bergara B14R
Savage/Anschutz Match 64

If I had to let 3 go the CZ, one of the Henry's and either the Tikka or the Bergara (not both) would go.

I had a Finfire and agree that it was an accurate rifle, shot it in the sporter class in rimfire benchrest. Hang on to it, I should have done the same with mine.

I’ve never owned one but I like the Ruger 10/22, Chiappa Mini Sharps and one of the Henry .22 lever actions.
