I dont.play ar but it seems that the new val has already been superseded by the new 6mm arc. These cartridges change so fast. I'll be sticking to my 6mm br and lever guns but its intresting to know the plan for bolt action data is going to be different.

Certainly lots of flavors these days, even in small numbers, they seem to stick around though.

Peterson even started making 7mm BR again back in April and it had been a “form your own” for the last 20 years.

I've been watching this 6 ARC also, wasn't that impressed with the AR data I've seen, would like to see some bolt gun data. Love my 6mm Br just wish it had a faster twist so I could play with some heavier bullets.

I don’t get the “fads” bug. If it survives a few years and lives up to the hype then maybe, but typically, no. 6 arc seems to be a new version of the same thing that keeps being touted as the best thing since sliced bread. When they quit dragging out a new version every month or two then I tend to think that maybe they finally settled on a sweet spot and start looking at that... after a couple years of it living up to the hype. The Valk never did anything for me.

The 6 arc is just a round that hornaday made official. There a ton of modified ar rounds that people are messing with. The 6mm grendel and 6mm ar also poplar in this circle.
