I think everyone experiences bad days shooting. I have found as I advance in years my bad days have become more frequent. I see the same happening with shooting acquaintances at my gun club. It’s annoying but I try to look on the bright side and really enjoy the good days. When things aren’t going particularly good I quit and save my ammo for another day that I hope will be better.

Try forgetting the bolt for your rifle! Smart move, when you clean your rifle, don't forget to put all the parts back in the gun case with the rifle!

Really sucks to look at your rifle all day, knowing that you brought everything to shoot it but the bolt!

Went to my personal range one morning last summer........Couldn't hit the dirt. Went home. Next trip normal......We all have those days.

Shooting can be a humbling experience- the moment you feel you’re great- fling! The flyers start!
Man, ain’t that the truth! If I had a dollar for every second-to-last shot clunker I’ve fired over the years I could probably buy a brick of primers... o_O maybe.

Stay safe.

After loading 1000 9mm rounds along with new powder test rounds and looking forward to range day hardly being able to sleep, but when you get there you find out your 40S&W Glocks have factory 40S&W barrels as you forgot to bring the 40-9mm conversion barrels ...

Or pull out your ARs to shoot 22LR but the CMMG 22LR conversion bolt is still on the cleaning tray ... back at home.

Or you get ready to do some accuracy testing and realize the scope with quick detach levers were quick detached ... still on the bench back home.

Amazing isn't it, as much as we think we're different, we all do the same things at one time or another. :neener:

The more you think about it, the funnier it is, because not matter how hard we try not to forget, at some time it will happen to you.

It's always better to laugh it off than sit there and be frustrated about it.

I have a friend who did that on a hunting trip- he was lucky someone else brought more than one rifle
