Today Walther Arms has made a lifelong customer out of me. I called their customer service department to order a replacement recoil assembly for my PPQ 9MM. Spoke to a very nice woman on the phone after about a 1 minute wait about my request. She verified that it was a 9MM, asked for my name and address and after that info was given she said she would have the entire recoil assembly send out. I offered my credit card # & the serial # of my PPQ. She then told me that neither was necessary. She thanked me for my support of Walther Arms & told me to have a nice day. My son & his fiancé are both in the market for new (for her) & additional (for him) firearms. I will now add Walther, along with Ruger as my recommendations. I own four Ruger 22's, my next 22 purchase with be the Walther PPQ 22. I strongly recommend that new buyers should research the customer service aspect and that it should weigh heavily on their decision.

That is reassuring that great customer service is not reserved to just a few companies.

Thanks for the information.

Had the rear sight dots on my PPS M2 fall out at the range. They mailed me a new one. Had major issues with a Ruger pistol, and they had it back to me in 3 weeks. S&W also shipped me replacement recoil spring after the one in my newish Shield busted. Seems like I have the most issues with manufacturers who have the best CS.

No. I just wanted a backup. I usually change my recoil spring after about 5000 rds fired.
Nice. The only thing that would make this thread any better would be pics of that 5000+ round PPQ. How's the finish and everything else holding up?

Good customer service should be rewarded with loyalty. I've owned a few Walthers and all were dependable and I've never needed service, but it's good to know how they treat their customers.
I've been lucky I guess, I've only had one negative experience and that was with SarArms. I bought a brand new pistol from them, the front sight fell off. It took 3 weeks for the customer service guy to admit he couldn't help me because they had no spare parts until they get some from the factory in Turkey. That was 3 months ago and I still haven't seen a new sight.

My PPQ looks like the day I brought it. Has been absolutely flawless. Typical German engineering, beautifully designed & incredibly well made. The tolerances are the best of any firearm I've owned and I've owned a lot of different brands.

You will be very pleased with a PPQ .22, mines been very reliable for a .22 autoloader both suppressed and unsuppressed.

Had a similar experience with Walther. Thread protector fell off my Q4 Tac. I called on a Monday and I had a new one in my mail box on Wednesday afternoon. I also offered to buy the part with the same response. They are taking their Legendary warranty claim to heart.

Received my new recoil assembly today. Delivered in less than a week. Very impressed!

I've been on the fence about what to buy for a fun 22lr pistol but this is making me take a closer look at their P22 and PPQ 22.

My next 22lr pistol will be the PPQ 22 hands down! Can't find one for love or money in any of my local LGS's.
