I’ve contemplated this for a time. Why is it so many firearms enthusiasts get so offended? People get so spun up because their preference in firearm, or in caliber, or in accessories is disputed.. I’ve seen it on every forum. Why do people get bent over gear? “How dare you rebuke the 6.5 Creedmoor!” Or, “the nerve of talking down the 300AAC!” LOL!
I’ve never taken a bit of of gear scoffing to heart. Everything I choose, I’ve done so with a great deal of research. I make decisions based on knowledge of quality & my bank account. What I know, I know because I’ve made it my business to learn! I don’t rely on what others say...or what the mob is doing these days. I gives a hoot what others have to say. When I say X is better than Y, I’ve done so based on research. But I’m not telling anyone else what they should do...only what I’ve done. Just sharing. There are those so quick to insults...impugning intelligence over this. I’m quite content with what I know. And I’m VERY content with my ability...given my limitations. There be a thing or three I know that a whole lot of folk don’t! And that’s because of my background. So I don’t worry about the put downs. Just doesn’t affect me. Because I know I’m better. Don’t need another’s say so on it!
And so I ask...Why so Serious? Why’s it worth getting all twisted up over someone not liking your this or that? Calling you out by name is one thing.... but I see people begrudging vague comments! Just don’t get it.
