Ordinarily, an untucked shirt. I carried with a tuckable IWB for a long time, and still do from time to time. But the question asks for the 'primary' method, and tuckable IWB is no longer primary for me.

Shield 9mm or 2.0 Compact 9mm, untucked shirt or jacket. If I'm in my dress work clothes and it isn't jacket weather, I go pocket with an LCP.

I don't depend on a pocket pistol. I carry a full-size 1911 or BHP in a major caliber (i.e. not the 9mm Punibellum or smaller) and hide it easily under a Hawaiian shirt or jacket.

Wear the weapon and holster you want, and dress to conceal.

When weather is hot, like now, and when I am not working 99% of my dress is a T-shirt. So I use a vest to hide. Very light and comfortable. As it cools down I like heavy shirts left untucked and not buttoned. Many of these heavy shirts are sold as a light jacket for this. Great for CC.

My claustrophobia goes off the chart at the idea of anything tucked IWB. And totally uncomfortable when I tried anything above a pocket gun. Yes, Occasionally I will carry a small Micro 9, or Snubbie IWB But rare. Picture with people carrying them IWB and that huge area where the belt and pants waist having to accomadate that much room is not acceptable for me. I like my pants to fit perfectly and do not like to buy a larger waist size for a CCW. I like thin, light weight OWB Holsters and Shirt not tucked and usually with a coat.

Untucked both IWB and OWB, summer I’m more inclined to IWB because shirts are shorter.

Fall/winter I wear a tee tucked with a flannel untucked so OWB is easier.

Tried IWB and couldn’t do it very long. Maybe I need a better holster. OWB works great for me me. I am not too worried about some printing or occasional barrel sticking out. I like the desanti mini slide thumb break. If deeper concealment is needed, then pocket gun it is.

Pocket carry isn't just for "pocket guns." A full-size 5" 1911 fits in a lot of pockets. So does an N-frame revolver. If you sew pockets a little longer than common, you can drop 6.5" barreled revolvers or a Desert Eagle in there.

Desantis with snap for 640 or 66 2 1/2 inch. Covered with a shirt. Been carrying that way for 25 years and it feels natural to me. I tried a SOB with the 640 but I kept looking over my shoulder to see who was behind me. Made me uncomfortable.
