I took my Bodyguard to the range for the first time in a few years and fired half a box of S&B .380. Had four or five light strikes—each fired on the second try. I looked at the first one and there was a very teeny dent in the primer. Any suggestions other than a thorough cleaning including the firing pin and replacing springs?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Still clean and change springs if this is going to used as a defensive weapon. I want no doubts about whether my gun is going to fire or not.

It's a well known issue with the Bodyguard to the point that extra power hammer spring kits are available. I recommended to install one of those.
On youtube there are a bunch of videos showing the issue. hickok45, expecially in his second video about the Bodyguard, has alot of light primer strikes during live shooting.
