Me and a buddy are just about finished with a small hunting blind for his small fields on his property. It's small be should only be one of use using it at a time anyway.

We planted a small food plot awhile back about 20-50 yards on the front side, we have cleared some trails and brush for shooting lanes today. The box is a 4'x4' pressure treated base and just 11mm plywood for the walls. We made up some Windows from glass I cut, we couldn't find plexiglass cheaper so see how they hold up.

The roof is a sheet of plywood we put tar and used old conveyer belting on top. The pictures show it just as we got the Windows on, we painted them and added a coat over the hole thing. Used driveway sealer. We will camo it one day.

I'd like to see what you all hunt from.

I’ve killed a number of coyotes from upstairs, motion sensor by the chicken coop and rifle ready, just open the door. Lots easier than from down stairs.

This is the oldest one we have, the deer heard us filling up the feeder, only reason I caught it in the photo.

Some even have cellular signal. If you zoom in you can see the deer to the right of the feeder.

I don’t have any photos of the big one on this device though.

Nice why leave the house when you don't have to lol. I wish we could have feeders or at least put out some mineral licks

Nice set up Troy. I'm sure you & your friend will kill something from it. Wish I could build something like that where we will be hunting.
Looking forward to this comeing deer season to spend some time out in the woods.
Ya should be fun, temps are dropping and starting to feel like hunting season finally.

This spot is not big and there's not to many opportunities but it's close to my buddy's.

Over the last 40 years our blinds and stands have evolved substantially. Constantly making improvements and upgrades. When the (6) Grand kids began hunting we transitioned to making everything to accommodate "adults & kids". That required making everything larger, safer, and more comfortable.

Early stands were made of wood, when those deteriorated from weather we began using steel. Have around 10 of the steel platforms, most are 20-to-25 years old and about 20' high. It's a lot of work and expense but much more enjoyable to hunt from.

Tower blind uses 30' power line poles and is a favorite when the weather becomes nasty. Kids love it and the memories built there are priceless.

Does the enclosed one have a flush toilet
Very nice!!!!

My stands are in Pittsville Wisconsin (except for my portable blind) with COVID I don't think I will be able to make the trip from South Carolina. Dad and Mom are 80. I don't think it's right for me to make the trip for hunting season and risk getting them sick. I was looking forward to seeing them more than the hunt:(

Probably open myself up to some ridicule by admitting to this....yes it does have a toilet, but not one you can flush. When the grand daughters decided to go deer hunting it was easier to give in and provide something than pack everything up and head back to the house.

Built a hay bale blind several years ago, made the windows too small....limited field of view. Have had curious deer stick their noses through the windows. Better gun blind than archery.

I really like the bail blind idea. How did you make it.

Man, you guys hunt in style. Aren’t any of you afraid of getting ‘soft’? LOL...For deer it was all shoe leather express kicking through treelines and cat tail slews for miles on end in sub-zero North Dakota wind chills. Hunted predators by digging into snowdrifts to get out of the -30 winds.

Now, ice fishing...that's a whole different story. We had ice houses on Lake of the Woods that would make some current tiny homes look like run down sheds.

I've done my share of freezing and sitting on the cold ground lol. I mostly hunt for meat, a nice buck is a bonus tho.

the farmer used to hunt before are good friend passed and his family sold if we quick as possible, it was fantastic hunting we knew were the deer would be and had great fun. The thing that sucked was it was the next hill just over the ny/nj line and the cold air would blow spfrom high point mountain, it's the highest mountain in New Jersey. So it was always a good 20° colder then down on the flats.
