I absolutely detest that light blue (robins egg, baby blue etc) on cars, it was one of the most common colors to repaint with here. On guns tho I rather like it. Your wife's gun looks fantastic.I've put together a few I think are a little different.
Here's my 16" 6.8 SPC hunting AR

I'm rebuilding my .350 in robins egg and FDE (which is lighter color than normal).
It's a mid length gas system low pro block. Had to add set screws to the front sight block, since there isn't enough meat in the barrel to use the tapered pins that normally attach it. I love dissipators, but there is no good way to make a big bore run with a rifle length gas system. And nobody made one so I got creative. It's awesome.@adcoch1 Is your 458 Socom using the fixed sight for gas block or is there a gas block hidden underneath the handguard? Just wondering if it's rifle length gas how it runs and what buffer setup?

If you want to build one I will share my process with you. A 450, 458, or 50 is where a dissipator shines in my opinion...That's what I thought, I have a 450 BM and mid-length is about as adventurous as people get with pushing the gas system out. I too like the dissipator look and had to ask if it was a rifle length how you got it working. Nice looking dissipator you got there.

See? Boats are dangerous! And a few others that were sadly lost in a boating accident.
You should have to have a waiting period to purchase a boat, you know, for safety!See? Boats are dangerous!
That’s why I keeps firearms, to stop any maniacs from trying to sneak a boat into my house!
My 6.8 SPC has been Cerakoted. Ordered all the parts and built it specifically to be a lightweight hunting rig. Had the Wilson Combat Barrel fluted to further reduce the weight. Probably my favorite rifle overall.

I am going to do a junkyard build one of these days as a bench gun. Something like 6mm ARC or 6.5 grendel, but entirely made from recycled parts. One of those plate welded receivers would be perfect for that...Mimes a mix of parts lol.
I'd like to get that lower kit ( have to look what it's called) it's a bunch of sheets of steel you weld together to build the lower, I thought it would be a fun winter project. Maybe nice for a bench gun for the weight.
I looked it up, guess there not making them anymore. Place is called flat spot, they make little pistol kit but that's all I see. Shame I think it would be fun to do.I am going to do a junkyard build one of these days as a bench gun. Something like 6mm ARC or 6.5 grendel, but entirely made from recycled parts.
