Buying Ammo online

They’re pretty popular here in So Cal, several dealers stock their remanufactured ammo...well, they did stock it before it flew off the shelves.

While I haven’t used it, many friends who have bought from them have been happy with their purchases.

Stay safe.

Ordered from them last month with no issues other than the shipping from coast to coast.

Others I've used in the past with no issues: budsgunshop, palmettostatearmory, targetsportsusa, sgammo, and luckygunner

So actually have never had a bad experience ordering online.

I've purchased twice from them, in April and May. I was impressed by the fast shipping during the early stages of the pandemic. Their prices were decent at that time as well.

Good luck in finding in-stock LAXAMMO or reloads. I have purchased from them before the drought, positive results in shipping as well as the ammunition used. Since panic started, they never seem to have anything in stock.

I think that they sell reloaded ammo. Looked at their factory on youtube and it looked like they were reloading on Dillons.

I don't believe I have either as far as guns and ammo go.

I think that they sell reloaded ammo.

They sell factory ammo as well. Ive never used their reloads. Ive bought quite a few cases of self defense ammo. Hst/ranger/ golddot etc. Id assume it's police trade in or over stocked ammo. Very good prices but you just have to catch it when it's in stock

I bought 2000 rounds of Winchester 147 grain 9mm ball from them in June, it was delivered quickly and at a good price.

During our present times, it's probably difficult to find any ammo supplier with no negative feedback from angry customers.
Which is like finding a tire company that has not been (or is not being currently) sued. Tough times oftne ruffle feathers.
And, of course, in these our modern times, we now have access to everything, both good and bad at an instant's notice.

No problem with LAX for me (back before the shortage). Most of the time, it simply wasn't worth the shipping cost, I'd do Targetsportsusa for free s/h or somewhere like that; but once LAX ran a deal on Geco .32 acp, case under $200. Even with shipping, that was the best I could find online by a good bit. It came quickly. It also sold out quickly (they listed it right before the big Beretta 81 import wave).

I have not, but picked up a lot of LAX brass in 300AAC. It was problematic, and I would not buy that caliber. Everything else seems to be fine.

I have bought quite a bit from them, and they are a square deal company. However no where near the class of TargetSports. There reloads were OK, about, but would get light primer strikes in 9mm.

I stumbled onto them probably 6 months ago, had never heard of them. Asked on another group and got good reviews so tried a small order. That went fine so I ordered several cases of .22 ammo to pad the stock here and every time they were great.

For people asking about online sellers- honestly, if it's new ammo, I've never really had a problem with anyone and it's always been about best price with shipping. I DID have an order from Selway, where the box got tossed around by the shipper and it busted a couple boxes inside... but a quick email and they gave me a bit of a rebate. I've bought from a bunch of different sites, using a credit card. If you use a card, you have the safety net of disputing a sale if need be, and I think that has prevented scams.

For reloads, I've had good luck with Freedom Munitions, Fenix sent me a case this summer, and I've used a couple others. The ammo all seemed ok. Trying to remember if I've used any LAX reloads; probably not in 9mm, since they cost a bit more than the market. But I wouldn't hesitate if they were my only choice.

Thanks for all the replies, I ordered some new 41 mag, can’t really get any around here. Said free shipping with first time buyers. I’ll post when I receive them, thanks again.

I have ordered from them several times. All good experiences. I have been fortunate to catch good deals on .45 Colt and 10mm. I've used their re-manufactured ammo and not been disappointed.
I will buy from them again, no question.

I've never done it.

I think because IL has extra hoops to jump through thanks to our lovely foid system.

I like to just grab a box or two here or there when I see a good deal!

To be fair... I hate buying ANYTHING online...

You can order from Federal online. I ordered some 124gr FMJ American Eagle back on the 3rd week of Aug. It was over $100, so I got free shipping, but they did charge me tax. I got the ammo in last week. It was about forty cents a round. I'm glad I did. Most of their stuff is currently unavailable. There are no stores in this town that have plinking ammo in right now, just expensive hollow points.

Since several here mentioned .41 Mag and .45LC, I'll say this:
Set up and load your own. More than almost any rounds, these are chamberings that reward hand loading., both from an economic/availabitity and from a performance standpoint.
I recently sold my one .41 Mag, but still have two .45 LCs. The price of factory ammo for either makes handloading a no-brainer.
And in today's world, handloading for almost anything make sense.
Best regards, Rich
