Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

I got a call from the Pawn & Gun shop yesterday, letting me know that they had a FDE SB Tactical SBA3 pistol brace in. I asked them to hold if for me.
When I got there it was waiting for me and I saw that they had some knockoff SBA3 braces too. The knockoffs were only $55 so, I got one of them too.

Holster for my Ruger MK III 22/45
2 gun cases for Ruger 10/22 rifles
2 magazines for my Marlin 25M
Volquartsen kit for my 22/45
Sightmark Ultra Shot Plus red dot....

There's hardly 3 days go by where I don't pick up something gun related.

A couple cleaning jags, a Harris S-Series 25C, a magazine for my 783, and a small 5.11 handheld flashlight. Found a lonely pound of BL-C2 on the shelf as well and brought it home.

Boy, I went whole hog yesterday. My wife drug me to Walmart and I moseyed by the sporting good department where they had three, count 'em, three 100 round boxes of CCI 22 shorts for less than eight bucks a box and were the only thing on the shelf except some 22WRM. I bought one box and left the other two for someone desperate for 22 ammo. I thought these would be fun for my two oldest great grand daughters to run thru the Rossi 62C I bought for them.

I haven't bought anything gun-related since the coronavirus started, but this week I did.

I decided to equip each of my Ruger Mark I -- II -- III -- IV pistols with 3 contemporaneous OEM magazines. (I lacked one for the Mark I and one for the Mark II.)

For the Mark I, the dilemma was whether to get the type with the follower button only on the right side (works only with the A54 frame), or get the later type with the button that can be switched from side to side (works with either the A54 or the A100 frame). (My gun has the early A54 frame, and I already had one of each type of magazine.) I found both types on ebay, but settled on the second type. It's costing me $78 total. This is the 9-shot magazine with the zigzag follower spring and permanently attached chromed baseplate with no logo.

For the Mark II, Ruger is still making OEM magazines. But they come with the current all-black baseplate and knurled follower button. I had some extra domed follower buttons, and baseplates with the silver logo on a red background. My vintage of Mark II uses a silver logo on a black background. Fortunately I was able to find a source for the silver/black medallions on ebay. So, this part of the project is costing me $27 for the new magazine and $13 for a pair of silver/black medallions, or a total of $40. (The earlier Mark II and III baseplates have removable medallions, the same as the ones used on the grips. The current all-black baseplates are one piece.)

Trivial and nit-picking, sure. But this is the collector mentality.

Those shots aren’t fun! Had 5 before my doc sent me to the surgeon for an elbow. Now looking for a time slot on rotator cuff after hunting season. Do indeed take it easy and hope relief comes quickly. My arm always burned a few days and I would wake up near screaming till I stretched a bit.

It sounds like we're on the same course. I'm scheduled for mri #2 after harvest. I've been dealing with this for years, but rolling my semi in April just about ripped my arm off.
Needless to say, been shooting alot of handguns and .22s lately.
Not looking forward to a dozen trips up and down this ladder every day.

Cortisone shot #2 in right shoulder this am. Doc said to take it easy....

I've had steroid shots a couple of times for really bad bursitis in the hip. They do help with the pain (the effect lasts for several days) but they drive your blood glucose through the roof if you happen to be diabetic. This could even cause hidden diabetes to manifest itself.

Picked up a reproduction calvary holster for my cap and ball revolvers . It's got the US stamped on the flap and it's worn on right side butt forward . Pretty stiff right now but got a revolver in a plastic bag and car wax smeared in it to hopefully soften it up some . Heard that works , never tried it before so will see how it works .

I picked up another 3 hole turret die plate for my Lee turret press. I reloaded 7.62x39 a few years ago just to see if I could reload more accurate rounds than I could get from the factory. I found it wasn't hard to do but not with the higher prices the only rounds I can find cheap enough has the bi-metal bullets & I don't want to wear out my barrels. So starting to reload 7.62x39 again, I still have brass & about 500 bullets from the last try, just loading plinking rounds this time so it not going to be a problem. I also picked up some cheap 6.5 CM 95gr plinking bullets, they are starting to get hard to find at a good price.
