I tried running my 70RDF over SW4350 in my 22-250. I found a good accuracy node at 2850.
Case fill is at about 80%. I hit pressure before I could get to the next node.
I'm thinking about switching to something like magpro to get the case fill and hopefully velocity up.
Does this sound like a good idea?

I also have Superformance.

Yes. If nothing but for the fun of it.

Do you feel 80% fill is not enough, or is the performance not right?
I don’t have one, but I thought the 250 would sling a 70 faster than that...
I can get over that with 75bthp in my long barrel 223.

They are few, but I have liked every Ramshot powder I have used so far.

Oops, thought you meant Magnum. Are they sister companies?

Velocity is my biggest issue.
I didn't hit pressure for 2 more grains. But the POI changes were excessive for every .3 grains.

Magpro is Accurate powder's offering that is close to the 4831s, 7977 etc. I've never tried it.
I bought it to try in my 240 wby because I am getting compression before I get pressure signs with 87 gr bullets.
I like to hit max pressure right as I start to crunch powder. It usually gives me great accuracy and velocity just below that.

Couple thoughts;

a drop tube should help ya get more kernels in the case.

4831SC might not give you a speed advantage over 4350

POI variations during incremental charge testing is common although I’ve seen those large swings decrease when changing primers.

An abbreviated ladder test using different primers side by side can be eye opening to say the least.

Hope that helps

I ran a test with h4831 tonight. I had 2 accuracy nodes. Both were approximately 7/8 tall with overall group of 1 1/4".
I didn't hit pressure even at max charge. I'm going to run the 38gr charge over a chrono and see.

Personally I like H 4831sc , we use it in a 270 WSM although we don’t quite get the speed the gun likes it too
Well, I didn't get speed. But the accuracy is there. IMG_20200920_205732.jpg
5 shots at 400 yards just over 2 inches.
I'm going to finish finding the correct seating depth and run through these before moving to heavy bullets.
